Product Overview

This pry bar is designed to pull and pry nails. For removing difficult nails the flat striking face allows the claw to be driven under the nail. Shaft is constructed in an I-beam design for durability and light weight.

  • Nail digger exposes the head of a flush nail so it can be pulled with minimal damage to the wood
  • Extra wide strike surface helps user accurately strike the bar to get under a nail or behind material to pry
  • I-beam shaft provides strength without adding weight
  • Pointed penetration end digs into material to remove embedded nails

Customer Questions & Answers

What is the little nub on the side for?

Asked by: kris
Hi Kris. The nub on the side is for getting a place for the 'spoon' to get under the nail. Center the "nub" cone side down over the nail head. Hit the back 3 or 4 times (if wood is really hard) then use the spoon to get under the nail. I posted some pics as I used it on the HD site. Workes Very well.

why won't it ship to my house

Asked by: joe
I suspect it is more expensive to ship it than for you to pick it up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little tool Project- replacing a rotten fence post that held the gate. Problem- Some of the nails were way inside the wood, and even two screw heads were rounded off. I had no clue how to get them out without damaging the fence slats. Solution- Found this tool at Home Depot and decided on this one since there was a punch like hole to get easier access to sunken nails, and the blade of it was a lot thinner than others on the shelf. I was able to get those stubborn sunken nail heads accessible by pounding the round punch looking part over nailhead, then the thinner side of the tool was able to easily hook it. Some of the nails were able to be removed without using the punch first. This tool definitely saved me time and patience. There were some markings from the tool on the wood, but for my purpose it wasn't a problem. Good little tool to have added to my toolbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pulled nails out of 2x6" 20 year old deck board ring nails. I thought for sure I'd have to take a circular saw to get the deck off this frame. 3" ring nails came out using my 20oz ball-peen hammer to get this tool's ring side to make a groove around the nail head and hit the pry end with the hammer to get a good grip on the nails. A few had me standing on the pry bar to get enough force to lift the old nails out. Once they are started out, a regular claw hammer will get the rest out. I removed 40 nails in an hour with this.
