Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Froggy75 Nice little tool
Project- replacing a rotten fence post that held the gate.
Problem- Some of the nails were way inside the wood, and even two screw heads were rounded off. I had no clue how to get them out without damaging the fence slats.
Solution- Found this tool at Home Depot and decided on this one since there was a punch like hole to get easier access to sunken nails, and the blade of it was a lot thinner than others on the shelf.
I was able to get those stubborn sunken nail heads accessible by pounding the round punch looking part over nailhead, then the thinner side of the tool was able to easily hook it. Some of the nails were able to be removed without using the punch first.
This tool definitely saved me time and patience.
There were some markings from the tool on the wood, but for my purpose it wasn't a problem.
Good little tool to have added to my toolbox.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave817 Pulled nails out of 2x6" 20 year old deck board ring nails.
I thought for sure I'd have to take a circular saw to get the deck off this frame. 3" ring nails came out using my 20oz ball-peen hammer to get this tool's ring side to make a groove around the nail head and hit the pry end with the hammer to get a good grip on the nails. A few had me standing on the pry bar to get enough force to lift the old nails out. Once they are started out, a regular claw hammer will get the rest out. I removed 40 nails in an hour with this.

I have perhaps six or seven bars for trim and light fastener removal and just finished remodel project with this being the winner for design and functionality. This will be my go to from now on.

10in. claw is very useful in hard to reach areas. The extra "nub" lets you remove nails that are set deeper than standard nailing.
