I don't known why i keep buying this chalk reel. The string snap after a couple of uses. When it snap and reel it all in in to the box. Then u have to rerouted into the hole. the plug that u have to remove after it keep coming of and jams . Then u have to pull it apart it not hard . It uust thinks u dont have to worry about during working hours. My worst concern is the string snapping all the time

Chalk Line works well; but the chalk leaks out into your tool bag from more than one opening; leaving a continual chalky mess every time you move it around.

Beats the heck out of my old aluminum hand-me-down box. Works well but can sometimes be difficult to get the chalk on the line but that's all of them.

it an ok chalk line, the only down fall from other ones I have owned is the reel. It seems weak and reels up slow. but had not broke yet, so i would recommend this product to a friend.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brewboy Best chalk line for the money
This is the best over all chalk line I have found. I use it framing houses professionally. They put thought into how easy it is to use and how long it lasts. Don't waste your money on a chalk line that costs two dollars less this one has the value!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JLaarz Most poorly designed chalk line I've used
Recently purchased this chalk line for working on my own house. I used to frame houses for a living and have used quite a few chalk lines over the years. This one is the most poorly designed. The string is poor and frays very easily. It breaks under tension far too easily. The top cap can be hooked while removing from your pouch, leaving chalk in your pockets. The sponge that holds the chalk in falls out and cannot be replaced properly. The end result is that your carpenter pouch will be full of chalk.
I used this chalk line for one week then discarded. Don't fall for the flashy "DeWalt" stamp of deficiency.
