CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Chalk reel was very helpful which enable me to complete my job. The value for the combo pack was excellent. The combo pack was reasonably price. The product is durable and easy to use. I like the fact that chalk was included. April 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great We have used it several times on different projects. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Snap line I've owned. I've only had this 2 weeks but this is my favorite snap line already! It has a rubber cover and spongy-rubber-like foam where the line comes out of the unit and it's quite water resistant. We were replacing some wood on a bridge out back and it dropped in the water - it floated and didn't let in any water inside! I was amazed - I thought for sure it was done and I was going to have to clean it out, replace the string or maybe even throw it out and start over... I'm never buying another chalk line again - do you know how many times these get rained on and ruined? This one dropped in a stream and is fine! November 21, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Normally I can rely on dewalt to make good products. This looked good, but as soon as I opened it I made the decision I'm returning it. The access door to fill is made of cheap rubber that will fail in no time. There's a new big metal one that I'm going to check out and open up at the store so I don't waste more time and gas. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of money and time Who would have thought a chalk line would waste so much time. The string broke on the first day. It is only good for using the last foot to tie new string on. The felt that stops the chalk from spewing out is a pour design. It falls out easy and is hard to put back. I bought two of them. One for blue lines and one for red. They are both going back in less than one week of service. I never thought DEWALT would ever put out such a horrible product. October 31, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for price It will last a year under heavy use. Personal use should last forever October 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ok ok for wood and concrete but chalk wont stay on smooth metals June 9, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by It "Feels" Right But It Misses The Mark This tool is full of good ideas with design intent not achieved. Gear ratio reduction, good solid appearance, seems like it is going to be good...but misses the mark on the job. It is twerky, not consistent, leaves a lot of residual on the string when you extend it, the lock is cumbersome to use, the handle is cumbersome to use...the designers need to use one of the old metal chalk boxes for a while until they get a feel for how this thing is supposed to work. It feels right, but misses the mark. The line it leaves is sometimes a ½ to ¾ inch wide, and when you reel it back in it is still slopping chalk everywhere like a crop duster. August 14, 2014
