The tape is compact, and has a stake loop. I returned it because the geared return mechanism is geared too high, making it very fast, but too difficult to reel in. After awhile, this starts to get irritating. too bad they didn't make it a 2:1 ratio. That probably would have been about right.

I purchased six of these for student to use in forestry exercises. Being on a limited supply budget, I specifically purchased these tapes because they provided excellent quality at an excellent price. I originally considered purchasing steel tapes, but worried about kinks and other damage. Elementary age kids are not the best at taking care of equipment, but so far these are standing up to their abuse. The bright yellow color means that they are easy to find if laid down in the woods - a definite positive for me.

I needed a 100' tape measure and found this one in the store. I didn't want metal since they kink and rust so this one seems to fill the bill. I've used it a couple of times and it was advertised as having a fast rewind and it does. Zips right in. Best part is that it has standard measurements on one side and metric on the other.

Measures ok but way to heavy for daily appraisal use. Annoying tip is so heavy it will unwind the tape.

The specification claims the tape is Metric and SAE. However, no part of this tape is measured using metrics. One side is inches, and the other side is decimal feet.
