Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Radio I have purchased this radio just recently and I love it, having the battery charger incorporated into the radio is a fantastic idea. It also saves room having the radio charge a battery. Would I be getting greedy if I asked that two batteries too be charged in the back of the next radio they develop. At least they have designed the radio with two (2) 110v plugs. One last thing, after purchasing the radio and bringing it home, it was discovered to be defective; the radio failed to be turned on. I brought it back to Home Depot and it was exchanged for a new one, they did check the new radio in store before handing it to me all with in 15 min. There was no fuss, no arguments, the exchange was made without hassle within minutes. I Give this part of purchasing five (5) stars as well. January 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by save your receipt You'll love it until you've had to deal with its problems for months. The features are great on paper but have functional problems: reception is awful right out of the box, the phone dock is too small for most phones and is located on the side forcing you to rest your phone on the open tray leaving both your phone and tray vulnerable, when using the auxiliary feature the volume significantly decreases, and recently the most annoying malfunction is the volume knob does the opposite function when being rotated (a problem Dewalt radios have had for generations I was unaware of). I was willing to pay more for a jobsite radio to have the luxury of WORKING functions. Sorry Dewalt I'm going back to Milwaukee October 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the Job done Long play times off a full charged battery. Light up display is nice to have when working in crawls and basements. Display and buttons worked great on a recent outdoor job I had when condition were 9 degrees with 25+ mph driving windchills well below zero. Overall I'm very happy with it. January 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I was disapointed Let me preface by saying I am a loyal Dewalt customer. I own 20v drill and impact driver, corded skill saw, flash list, tape measures, razors, corded reciprocating saw, heat gun, orbital sander, corded drill, 90 degree angle drill. All Dewalt. I bought this radio because I figured it would be a good addition to my 20v collection. However, it is by far the worst Dewalt product I have bought. The other reviews are right, the doors are cheaply made, but I could live with this. However this product hardly actually functions as a radio. I can receive literally one AM radio station , and maybe 5 or so FM stations. I have literally put my old beat up/paint covered/missing antenna Milwaukee radio side by side with the brand new fresh out of the box Dewalt and the Milwaukee receives every station clear as a bell and completely out performs. I was drawn in by the sales pitch of radio/charger/AC power units all in one. But honestly, I can buy a 20$ radio shack radio, a 60$ 20v Dewalt charger, and a 3 way power adapter for 20$. So for 110$ I can have ever amenity provided by this Dewalt product and still have 60$ left to spend. Dewalt makes great quality tools, but a radio is not exactly a tool though. I do have one positive thought. I have the standard 20v battery. You can put a fully charged battery in the radio and run the radio for 5 hours no problem. When it comes time to charge that same battery, it takes less than 15 minutes to become fully charged again. So the battery life of this radio is amazing. March 24, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good Sound Quality But Poor Reception After 2 Months of Home use only the Antenna broke and was not staying in a set position. The antenna was not staying attached to the unit. The poor quality antenna may be a result of the poor reception other users are experiencing. The connection of the antenna to the radio needs to be more solid, perhaps some type of plug type connector. The other problem I had was when calling to get the radio repaired. I called Dewalt directly and was told to contact an Factory Authorized Service Repair Facility. Upon talking to them they instructed me to send the Radio into them for repair at my own expense. I asked if they could send me a shipping label so I would not have to pay for shipping because it was still under warranty after just purchasing it 2 months ago and was told NO they can't do that. Dewalt needs to better back their Warranty and Customer Service.Experience. At this point I will just return the radio to the store for a Refund. I gave the Radio 2 Star Rating but ultimately gave it a 1 Star for the Radio and the Customer Experience. April 28, 2015
