Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mikez9 Excellent Combo kit
I already own another Dewalt 18V drill that I love, but at times it was too big for small jobs. I looked around and decided to get this combo kit and I am glad that I did. It is light and powerfull given its size. I highly recommend it.

Now let me say i own 18v tools as well and since i got this little set I think I may have only pulled out the 18v stuff 3-4 times in the last 5 months.....no joke. The only reason I have to use the 18v drill is because the chuck on the 12v only takes a bit so big, it has plenty of back to do alot of work. The impact oh my goodness! yeah it's takes a second or two longer than an 18v but it still drives everything home i have thrown at it 3.5 in deckmates...you name it. Being 12v i do carry an extra battery but the life is excellent on this little devil and they charge fast. I work in the field and this is one of the best buys for the price since I got mine for 169.00 on sale. You will not be disappointed with it. So light weight. I also did own the makita 12v max set and did like it but the dewalt is better. I hope they add to the line.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by masterelectrician Definetly worth the money
Size: perfect, light weight
Runtime: acceptable for 12v
Operation: will drill, screw with the best 18v equipment, reciprocating saw is a step down from 18v but that's expected. I use these daily with no problems.
Overall: enjoy using, fit in my bag or hang on the belt very easily. Bit change in the impact is great. Used the impact on/off for a week without a battery change.
Impact test: drilled three tek5 screws thru 1/2" thick steel and two 7/8" holes thru 1/8" steel strut with one fresh battery. This is a very extreme test and it passed in my opinion.
Drill test: easily had the power to drill 1-1/8" hole saw holes thru metal strut.
Reciprocating saw: one test of cutting 1-5/8" metal strut. cut two pieces. Does take a little longer that 18v but it is very tiny and lightweight.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rescue23 Great size and weight and really powerful for its small size.
I have the 12v max drill driver, impact and the screwdriver and will all sink a 3.5 inch screw flush into two 2x4's with no problem. Also great for working in tight spaces and overhead where my 18v Dewalts are to bulky. Battery life has been good too! drove over 500 sheet metal screws into my dirt bike knobbies for ice racing before I had to change the battery. Have not tried the saw yet so cannot review at this time.

I recently got the ridgid 18v combo kit and then learned from a buddy of mine that the 12 volt is awesome. I work with them everyday doing installs and couldnt be more happy. plenty of power.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EugeneT A Really Good Deal For Household Projects
I just bought this combo kit last week. After checking several competitors' Web sites, I could not find a better deal for these Dewalt 12v compact tools. So far, I have only used the drill as part of installing a new home thermostat, but no complaints yet. I am in the process of preparing a nursery for my soon-to-be firstborn, so I will provide additional comments after my nursery projects are completed.
BTW - I learned that the term "Max" used in the title is apparently only marketing. Dewalt does not sell 12v Li-Ion products that are non-Max, or so I'm told. Past that, I could not find what the term was supposed to represent.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Josh Its a great kit, a lot of power for the size and weight.
I love this kit. It's light weight and powerful. I bought it when it was 219.00 and it was still a great deal then. If I was doing heavy construction all day i would go for the 20v max DeWalt set, but for most things the 12v is perfect. The batteries are much cheaper too. You will not be disappointed with this kit. I really like the saw, at first i really bought the kit for the drill and impact driver, but the more projects do i find that the saw is really handy. Great product.
