Purchased the drill as a Christmas gift for my son, he is in the pipefitters union and he is using this throughout the day. He specifically asked for the 12 volt for its power and being lightweight as he carries it on his toolbelt all day long.

I own a number of the DeWalt 20v cordless tools, but I wanted something to keep in the house for everyone to use for the odd small jobs. Well these two 12v tools are little titans! They are powerfull and handy. Just the right size to fit ALL hands!

I love these things, especially the impact driver. I never had a driver before, always used a drill for doing screws. The driver does not need as much pushing to help prevent stripping the screw head. The pair are powerful, lightweight and easy to handle. The charge lasts a long time.

The drill struggles with an inch hole, but does fine with everything else. The impact driver has little trouble with 3 inch screws. Battery life is shorter than the big boys, but the 12 volt batteries are cheap and these tools are light. Perfect for what I am looking for. I am not a professional by the way.

Both the drill and the driver deliver substantial torque despite there small, 12 volt power supply. Both are comfortable and easy to maneuver. Plenty of battery capacity.

I have a set of my own from 2 years ago, and just bought another for a family member. They have been a great set of drills and make working in tight spots much easier. They don't have as much power as the 20 volt equivalent, of course, but I use them for most of my jobs. I don't really have any complaints and so far no issues related to the drills. The batteries are starting to wear out a little, but have a couple years of use almost every weekend I can't really complain. My only qualm would be that they are not made in the USA as I would prefer.
