I grabbed this jabsaw to cut a larger hole in my sheetrock for a new bath ventilation fan. I've had other saws that made a total mess trying to cut a straight line in sheetrock. This Dewalt Jabsaw is very sharp. It cut straight down the line I drew and didn't tear up any other area. It works great and at a good price. Definitely a good buy.

The saw was purchased to cut some curved shaped out of ceiling Sheetrock. I worked fine and is quite sturdy and well made.

I bought this tool to cut two circular holes for ceiling mount speakers. After making a pilot hole with my drill this saw cut quickly and with precision. It was a bit more than other options but the cut speed and ease it provides are worth the few extra dollars.

The best jab saw for making cuts in drywall that I have ever used in my 35 plus years in the remodeling business.

I do not like the newer energy saver models (especially front loaders) which basically force you to do a near dry wash. Besides, the energy you save is a ridiculous low amount per year. I also refuse to buy models with electronic controls, which are much more likely to fail after a few years. This model has knobs with just enough choices, including an option for extra rinse/extra spin, which I use for every wash. It also has a huge SS tub, which is great. The only drawback is the load size indicator. Basically, if you want the water lever to cover your clothes, never use the small and medium settings, and replace large, extra large, jumbo with small, medium, large respectively (which is what they are). Other than that, great machine.

A fantastic jabsaw! An able-bodied worker can punch this through drywall in one shot, and even with low pressure on the gypsum, tears through it quickly and cleanly with no paper tearing. While a pocketknife saw will get you through a small one-cut project, anything beyond this demands a proper saw like this one.
