I didn't have the room or the cash to purchase a cabinet table saw, but the Dewalt DWE7491RS is the next best thing. I cut a 1/8" strip off of a 3 foot board and it was dead straight. This saw has plenty of power and the stand is very sturdy, yet easy to fold and store.

I've had the saw almost a month and I love it. I had originally gone for the 745 model but figured by the time I bought a stand for it, I'd be almost to the price of this one. Key things that sold me:
-Accepts Dado blades (more versatile)
-larger table surface (I don't have anyone to help me with big pieces so this makes work safer and more practicle).
-Wide rip capicity - up to 32"
-rack and pinion fence - dead on accurate, required virtually no adjusting out of the box
-Great accessories -miter gauge is metal and well constructed
-stability and portability. The rolling stand is rock solid when set up and is super fast to break down to get the saw out of the way. I don't have a large indoor workspace so this makes it easy to wheel it in and out to my carport for large cutting jobs.
-power. this thing rips hardwoods like butter. Not a cabinet saw, but for your average woodwork it's plenty.

I downgraded from a commercial builders table saw to one with more mobility. The DeWalt saw was perfect. It was easy to assemble (15 minutes) and operate. No adjustments needed as everything was dead on right out of the box. I am using the saw for remodel(s), renovations, furniture building and general contractor site work. It loads easy, is compact, powerful and very versatile. I have had the saw for two weeks and already put it through some heavy use. Although it is a little pricey, I would recommend this saw for the seasoned wood worker as well as the beginner or homeowner. It can tackle any job. I also purchased the separate dado plate and this saw works great with the separate dado blade. The stand is rock solid, even on irregular surfaces. DeWalt continues to be my go to source for power tools.

This table saw is awesome! I originally purchased the model below this (with the scissor stand) and then immediately returned it for this one. The mobile stand is super stable and very easy to set up and maneuver. I read a lot of reviews on this saw prior to purchasing and am very happy with my purchase. This is my first table saw and didn't want to regret my decision; buying cheap twice is always more expensive than buying nice once. Here is a quick breakdown,
-stand assembly is very quick and easy (directions are straight forward)
-the saw/mobile stand is very easy to move around and is very stable
-lots of included accessories
-haters are going to hate, the free blade is a free blade and it does its job well. If you have higher expectations and want a better cut quality, install a better blade. 24T is for rough cutting.
-easy to adjust blade height and angle
-the fence is great
-can accept dado blades
-dust collection seems good
-great value, I purchased this online while it was on sale and HD had a promotion for another $25 off Dewalt tools > $100.
- the miter gauge is a freebie; it works but again is a freebie. If I was a professional, I wouldn't rely on free accessories to do my job. For garage and home projects that don't require OCD precision, it works well.
- I haven't tried the dewalt dado plate yet; mixed reviews online have me confused on whether or not it is compatible with this saw. I will likely purchase this soon and see. If not, HD has easy returns and a homemade dado plate will be my next DIY
- I was disappointed to open the box (which was in excellent condition) and find the table surface marred with paint chips and blemishes. Pictures are attached below. I know this surface will eventually get some wear and tear and this will be normal, but for brand new out of the box, I expected a bit more from Dewalt quality control.
Overall, I would without hesitation recommend this saw to anyone interested. I just finished some cabinets for the garage and made all of the doors with tongue and groove joints on this saw.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Woodworker Nice saw!
I sold my Jet 10 inch contractor saw that I used to make furniture and other woodwork with because my new space wasn't big enough for the fences. I really like the portability, power, and the fence system on this smaller saw. The negatives so far after having it for a month and putting it through its paces are as follows: the miter gauge wobbles in the track and there's no adjustment(throw it away and buy an incra) making very precise work impossible. The top is nice but the surface has already shown surface scratches from normal use, I worry about its durability. The max blade height could be a 1/2 inch higher. The riving knife could be lower profile to fit better in custom zero clearance throat plates. The positives are huge though. Great dust handling. Very light, all controls are laid out well. It's very stable. So far, with a few tweaks, I like it a lot.

I purchased this saw a few months back and I have been extremely happy with it, but over the holidays I intended to do some bevel cuts and have discovered that the bevel release handle will not budge, I have read through the manual and have followed the correct procedure but it just doesn't seem to want to release. I feel if I apply any more force it may break since it's only made of plastic. Anyone else had this experience or know of a solution to this problem?
