Dunno how it works as a saw. I do know the table top arrived bowed - approx. 1/16th" at one side and ~1/32nd" at the other.
The machine is thus completely useless except as an expensive boat anchor. The point of buying an expensive table saw was to get a better cut than my cheap Ryobi table saw. This is nowhere near as good as my cheap saw.
'Made in the USA from global parts' apparently means 'Make parts in the same poor quality Chinese sweatshop as the machines that are Made in China, ship to the USA, do no QC on said parts, assemble in the US, ship out with no QC on finished product'. If this is what is meant by 'American Pride' it is no wonder our manufacturing industries are on their last legs.
The miter gauge is worthless, cheap rubbish.
The table top is very, very easily scratched.
Why on earth would Dewalt send out a product that is not remotely fit for purpose? Google it - I'm by far the only one to get an undulating table top. Most are cupped, mine is bowed. None are worth the chewing gum on the bottom of your shoe.
I have three other Dewalt tools. There won't be a fourth after buying this extremely expensive boat anchor. Going back to my far, far superior cheap table saw.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere as apparently you pay an awful lot for the yellow Dewalt paint job and still get garbage that any self respecting manufacturer wouldn't let out the door. If you ignore my advice, photograph the packaging as you unpack (it is a nightmare to pack everything back into the box) so you'll know how to put it back together when you return it (and return it you will!).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Riick Not just a jobsite table saw
I didn't have the room or the cash to purchase a cabinet table saw, but the Dewalt DWE7491RS is the next best thing. I cut a 1/8" strip off of a 3 foot board and it was dead straight. This saw has plenty of power and the stand is very sturdy, yet easy to fold and store.

Very nice Jobsite saw on many levels!
Love the fence! So easy to adjust and because its on a rack and pinion track at either end I believe it will always stay square to the table which seemed to be an issue on even the Bosch which I was comparing it to. The Bosch fence easily gets dislodged from the track.
Much better safety guard than the last saw I owned, I actually might use it!
Though its got a larger footprint folded down than my last craftsman saw, it is so easy to load into my Van
So far so good!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Splinter I can't believe the good reviews.
The one I got was garbage. It wasn't possible to square the blade to the miter slots. It hit a stop. The table was dipped in toward the blade. The front left table dropped 1/4". The fence leaned in about 1/8". The far end of the fence had so much plastic sticking past it, you couldn't have slid anything past it without hanging up. Never plugged it in. Totally unusable .

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WannabeWoodworker Not the saw I was expecting.
I had actually wanted this saw for a couple years now. Finally bit the bullet and ordered it through the HD website. Everything went well. Shipping was quicker than expected and HD was very helpful when I went to pick it up. Box was in flawless condition. Took pictures of the unpacking and all the parts. One or two of the bags of screws had come open and spilled around. Everything was still there though.
Assembly was pretty straight forward. Bags were all labelled which made it pretty simple.
Stand is very sturdy and stable.
Love the rack and pinion setup and the cutting width. Nice working height for me anyway.
1)There was a chip out of the table top finish about the size of a popcorn kernel.
2) The throat plate is mostly plastic and it was warped enough to I couldn't get it flush.
This is a contractor saw and the top is going to get scratched and everyone makes new throat plates anyway, so I still wasn't all that concerned. Over all, I really liked this saw a lot and still wanted to keep it.
The 3rd thing I found made me return it though....
The table top was bowed/ripply by an 1/8 of an inch in one spot!
Also, when I was adjusting my Incra miter gauge, I found the tracks were not a uniform width the entire length. I was so totally dismayed how this made it through quality checks..
Very glad I took pictures of the unpacking cause you have to re-box it before you can take it back.
I must say, it was quite a fun puzzle to solve.
Took it back to HD and they were very nice and refunded me promptly with no fuss.
I turned right around and picked up the Rigid one. (Didn't trust the Dewalt one anymore and didn't want to wait for shipping.)
Had the tabletop on the Dewalt been better, it would have been saw I had been hoping for all this time...

Haven't run the saw yet, but assembly and setup was easy. The mitre guage is an all metal sturdy guage, very nice. Table top is perfectly flat and level and the blade came perfectly square at 90 degrees when a square was put against it. As mentioned by others the finish on the top does scratch fairly easy. It's great having a place for all the accessories and easily retrievable. The stand is sturdy and does not wobble.

Sturdy stand, not easy to tip over. Easy for a 68 yr old to set up alone. Quality is everything I expected from Dewalt.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Phil Good buy but
I purchased this one online and used my hd cc so i can pay it for a few months.
It came with a big box and packaging is ok and the product has no damage. I already watch and read the manual online even before it was available for pick up at my local hd store.
I only hv two concerns that why i did not gave a 5 star rating. When assembling the stand, the bolts that is holding the two sides is only two bolts like a 3/8 size. And that means its the same bolt that is holding the table saw itself. That's why be careful when you used and put this saw in a standing position. Remember the two bolts.
If you checked the videos, it shows that you pull the two legs down then using your feet put a stop on it then pull the whole saw to a standing position. What i do is lay flat the whole thing then pull it up on one side then slide down the leg then go to the other side and do the same.
The other concern is the shipping time. When ordering online i always make it deliver to the store so i will hv free shipping. The problem is its taking so long for them to deliver.
But overall still this product is very good and will recommend it
