I have been extremely happy with this mitre saw. I found the saw to be great ergonomically for handling, with an adequately powerful motor, that made making cuts feel as easy as buttering toast. My only complaints would be with the bevel gauge- I found it slightly difficult to read in order to set cuts that we other than 45 or 33 degrees, and also I thought that the dust bag should have been slightly larger as it does tend to leave a bit of a dusty mess. However, apart from those very minor design flaws that can be easily overlooked, I feel that the product is well worth its value.

The Shop saw is realy nice, light, so easy to carry around for a cabinet maker / installer like me. Who work on different job every day. With a good blade not the one that they provide, it just cut like in butter its so nicy I love it. The is missing support I think There should be 2 mo on the bench so you can support long material. The Belt system is nice too because you can cut tall material near the fence. A good tool, now I will see how long it will last me and be so precise with its lazer and cutting accuraty.

I must say that after using the Dewalt 10 inch and another Canadian made brand of saw (12 inch double sliding), I ended up buying this 12 inch Dewalt and cannot even begin to compare it to the others I've used. The accuracy and ease of use are just the beginning. The weight of the unit and minimal compared to some of the other brands I used. The Dewalt blades that came with the unit do any excellent job of cutting a clean board. I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend to many others.

Easy to accurately dial-in the blade.
High fence..great for cutting tall moldings.
I really prefer DeWalt's cam locking mechanism instead of a twist knob.
Super quiet compared to a direct-drive.
The stock blade could be a lot better. Got a lot of tearout on moldings and you'll pop a 15 amp breaker trying to cut even a 2X4 with the stock 60T trim blade. I replaced it with a 44T Freud Diablo general purpose blade and now trim cuts clean and a 2X8 may as well be a stick of butter.
Bevel adjustment at the back is a pain to adjust frequently.
I also highly recommend the laser add-on. I asked for it as a gift one year so I wouldnât be out the money if it sucked. It works amazingly well.
Overall Iâm very happy with this saw. My only regret is not getting the slider :)
