Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 74 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amateur carpenter This saw has good solid construction and offers a useful selection of adjustments to help with those accurate cuts. It's a little heavy for lifting but this the only drawback I have experienced with this saw. I would give this tool a high recommended! October 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Miter Saw Great product easy to use, easy set up, stand for saw makes it fantastic to move around April 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simply the best! I am a beginner and this is my first miter saw but when I use this machine I feel like a pro cause it's so easy to use, so accurate just make me want to do different project one after another. And it came with free Dewalt stand. I love this miter saw! October 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Saw. Originally bought the Rigid 10” slider, tested 2 of them and they were not accurate. The guys at HD were great and cut me a deal on this one and I couldn’t be happier. It cuts accurate out of the box and I love having the built in light. I didn’t get the stand with it because I didn’t want it. I will be ordering the Rigid MSUV stand once it comes on sale. I’ll also point out I’m glad it doesn’t have a laser, yes they might sound cool, but most of the time they aren’t accurate and the new method of using the light to shadow the blade to show you were the cut will be works so well. It’s a simple yet brilliant idea because it lights your piece and tells you were the blade will come down at. If you’re cutting angles, it makes it much easier to line them up the first time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This 12" compound, dual bevel, sliding miter saw is the best I have ever owned as a Pro In my picture you will see my new DeWalt saw in action. My Builder likes it as much as me. He even commented on the LED light marker, " I have never, ever seen any other saw that has a perfectly accurate light marker as this one" Nice... January 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shelf making easy Needed a saw with enough reach to go through 15.75" shelving in one pass. Looked and looked. Sears has a radial arm saw, but the thing costs ~$800. As can be seen in the pic, if you want to make shelving using the full 15.75" melamine without having to flip the board this saw is for you. All you have to do is make the base out of two .75" particle boards as written in the manual. PS: I installed the 100 teeth Diablo blade to reduce chipping. December 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Happy With This Saw Have been replacing trim and siding on the outside of the house, and installing baseboard and window casings inside the house. I used my neighbor's Dewalt DW708 almost nonstop for 3 years to do all of this work, but he moved recently. I hated to see him, and it, go. I purchased the DW780S with some reservations about quality, mostly the slide. My saw is a "type 2" (as opposed to the earlier(?) "type 1") and happily, its slides operate as smoothly as those on the DW708. My new saw is accurate, large capacity, easy to use (love the LED light/cutting guide), and seems to be well made. Hopefully that means it will last as long as the 708 I had to give up. August 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice saw cuts straight and accurate Nice saw it came with the 723 stand I love this saw using it to cut tall trim and super easy to use and powerful. The Led light is really bright and helpful in seeing where you drew the line at. Saw has a lot of adjustments for doing crown molding which I'm going to tryout after the trim work is done. I used the standard 60 tooth blade that came with the saw and cuts oak very well. I would recommend this to a friend. It's a little heavy to carry around. The table moves and locks to the angle position very well and doesn't move around. June 7, 2015
