15 Amp 7-1/4 in. Lightweight Circular Saw is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a work horse We bought probably 5-6 of these saws for an apartment complex framing & cornice job, 8-3 story buildings and a clubhouse. We averaged 50 hour weeks, 5 crews running for 6 months. The only saw we burned up was the dedicated siding saw, and even then I suspect that it was because we didn't switch out blades as often as we should have and the guy cutting really abused his saw. We abused these saws pretty hard, but for an average user, especially a rough carpenter, this is plenty enough saw to get it done.

As soon as I got it home, I opened it up to check things out. Everything seemed pretty ok untill I checked to see if the blade was 90 degrees with the base at 0. I found that the stock zero was off. While adjusting zero, I noticed how loose/sloppy the mounting points for the base to the saw were. Also, the base itself is pretty flimsy. I also dislike the levers to adjust cut depth and angle. It seems like DeWalt is one of the only circular saws on the market without any kind of soft material on the levers. The only thing I like about the saw is the weight. This saw will be getting returned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good entrance level saw I recently purchased a "refurbished" unit from a factory authorized dealer. I couldn't be happier. I'm a finish carpenter that is nearing retirement. I've handled a lot of saws. I needed an inexpensive circular saw for my winter home and opted for this. My main job saw is an old DeWalt 368...A great saw. This new unit is balanced wonderfully, light weight and has all the power anyone should expect from a 7 inch saw. I've recently used it on some 2x4 framing and subfloor....Cuts great. If you want a decent saw under $150, try this one.

I bought this saw for my son in law for Christmas and he has told me that it is awesome ! I have not personally used it with him yet so i can't honestly give my honest review however, I have used the same model saw at work several times and I found it to be lightweight and powerful. All of our Dewalt tools at work are reliable and long lasting, that's why I didn't hesitate to buy this one for my son in law.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw OK. A little background on what I do. I am not just a DIY'er. I am a construction professional by trade and I do this for a living. It supports my family and I and is not just a hobby. Our old DW368 finally bit the dust after 10 years of hard abuse. I actually tested out about 15 saws and settled on this Dewalt DWE575 for the following reasons: 1. Power - This thing will cut through it all and it helps with accuracy of the cut. 2. Weight - Light and easy to handle. 3. Adjustments - Easy, quick and accurate. No effort or tools required except for blade change, and even that is easy and quick. The biggest benefit is the bevel stop at 22.5 degrees which many other saws don't have. 4. Base - Very strong, not quite as much as a reinforced plate but still very strong and hasn't bent even when one of our guys dropped it from 12 feet (3.7 meters). 5. Capacity - This is the only professional-grade saw that is capable of clearing a full 2-1/2" in one pass. The Makita magnesium saw can do this as well but leaves a lot of splintering on the bottom of the piece being cut. Other saws that don't have this 2-1/2"+ capacity require you to make more than one pass to clear 2-1/2" thick material like I-joists. 6. Trigger - Responsive and crisp. On some saws it takes quite a bit of force to pull the trigger. 7. LOWER GUARD - This is one thing that a lot of manufacturers skimp out on. On this saw the guard will retract no matter what kind of cut you make. On other saws the guard easily gets stuck when shaving a very thin piece off the end of a board or when doing compound miter cuts. This is why this saw is my saw of choice for setting accurate bevel cuts in rafters. The downsides: This saw should come with a case, and the included blade could be better. I'm generally not a big fan of Dewalt but I found this saw to be very impressive. The bottom line: Circular saws will last a long time, so spend the bucks on a good one, like this Dewalt. Others complain about not cutting straight or a warped base plate. Send it back and get a new one. If you buy this saw (and yours is a good one) you will be glad you did; you will find excuses to use it often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw! I had been looking for a saw like this for at least two years.. I finally really needed it to do a small project on the house. Man right out of the box it was very lightweight but also felt like a quality product. using it is so easy. I do wish it had an led light like some other saws have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Dewalt skill saw I have an older Dewalt skill saw and a battery driven Dewalt Skill saw. The old one was a few hundred miles away so I had to buy another one for a job that was to tough for the battery version. I was very impressed with how smooth the new one was and would clearly recomend it.
