Why can't I find 1 or 1 1/2" pneumatic nails?

The only finishing nails I can find, are 2", and they are splitting the wood. Too long. I need 1 to 1 1/2".
Asked by: jacnsperry
Google: 15 ga-34 angled strip finish nails Senco and others make nails like you're looking for from 1" and Up.. If you have a Harbor Freight store close, they have 1.5" nails Item #69920

Can I nail in an angle

I want to determine if this nailer could be used to nail the last rows of wood flooring by nailing on the groove in an angle.
Asked by: Mari
Yes, though you will have to adjust the depth adjustment on the gun to compensate if the nose of the gun isn't against the wood. Be aware that thin nails (15ga or less) sometimes are deflected by grain or imperfections in the wood (knots, etc) and can literally go around corners (I've had 18ga nails make a 180 deg corner and come out near where I shot the nail) and exit the wood, so be careful not to have your fingers anywhere near your target.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing nailer I bought this nailer for my home renovation projects and it has been invaluable. From crown molding to garage arbors, this has been one of the best investments made in my tool arsenal. I have yet to jam the gun, and I love the oil-free option. The 15 gauge makes it more versatile for larger projects but still allows for small nailing jobs. My next nail gun purchase will be a Dewalt framing gun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This gun will last me a lifetime.... This nail gun was ready to go out of the box. Easy to set up and easy to use. The rolling depth adjuster right behind the trigger is a little difficult to adjust. The description doesn't mention this, but the gun comes with nails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool This nailer has been great. So far I've used it for trim work, casings and light framing. The ability to use different nail lengths combined with it being 15 ga, makes this nailer be able to perform a variety of jobs. The reliability has been good with the different length nails also, I haven't had a jam yet.
