CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value! I have been extremely happy with this mitre saw. I found the saw to be great ergonomically for handling, with an adequately powerful motor, that made making cuts feel as easy as buttering toast. My only complaints would be with the bevel gauge- I found it slightly difficult to read in order to set cuts that we other than 45 or 33 degrees, and also I thought that the dust bag should have been slightly larger as it does tend to leave a bit of a dusty mess. However, apart from those very minor design flaws that can be easily overlooked, I feel that the product is well worth its value. January 25, 2008
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shop saw The Shop saw is realy nice, light, so easy to carry around for a cabinet maker / installer like me. Who work on different job every day. With a good blade not the one that they provide, it just cut like in butter its so nicy I love it. The is missing support I think There should be 2 mo on the bench so you can support long material. The Belt system is nice too because you can cut tall material near the fence. A good tool, now I will see how long it will last me and be so precise with its lazer and cutting accuraty. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HIGHLY Recommend I must say that after using the Dewalt 10 inch and another Canadian made brand of saw (12 inch double sliding), I ended up buying this 12 inch Dewalt and cannot even begin to compare it to the others I've used. The accuracy and ease of use are just the beginning. The weight of the unit and minimal compared to some of the other brands I used. The Dewalt blades that came with the unit do any excellent job of cutting a clean board. I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend to many others. September 20, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Saw! Pros: Easy to accurately dial-in the blade. High fence..great for cutting tall moldings. I really prefer DeWalt's cam locking mechanism instead of a twist knob. Super quiet compared to a direct-drive. Large capacity. Cons: The stock blade could be a lot better. Got a lot of tearout on moldings and you'll pop a 15 amp breaker trying to cut even a 2X4 with the stock 60T trim blade. I replaced it with a 44T Freud Diablo general purpose blade and now trim cuts clean and a 2X8 may as well be a stick of butter. Bevel adjustment at the back is a pain to adjust frequently. I also highly recommend the laser add-on. I asked for it as a gift one year so I wouldn’t be out the money if it sucked. It works amazingly well. Overall I’m very happy with this saw. My only regret is not getting the slider :) November 27, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great bang for your buck i bought this saw a little over a month ago now and i would gladly recomend this saw to any hobbiest or tradesperson! my only complain is the channel to the sawdust collector is a little small and can clog up if you dont watch it. i just hooked my shopvac up to it instead and never have to worrie about it. great saw!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sweet I figured if I wa sgoing to put a lot of money into a tool, the miter saw would be where I put it. I like how versatile this tool is. Mine came with the miter bench as part of a promotion and an 80 tpi blade which cut through my baseboards like butter. The dust collection bag isn't very usefull so I hooked up my shop vac to the exhaust. May 10, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best saw I'v ever used This is one amazing unit. The blade is very sturdy not like the cheap saw's that wobble around and mess up your cuts. Also alot quieter than most saws and the blade break is a great feature. If I had to say one bad thing about this saw its that it makes alot of dust but what saw doesn't. February 20, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw This is a very powerful, very precise, very easy to use machine. You can do virtually anything with this saw. Cutting at an angle is really simple. You can even can shave less than 1/8" off a piece of wood with ease. You don't need to be an expert to use it either. March 5, 2007
