Can you get replacement parts for these boxes?

The box was purchased 2/27/15 and a slider arm wheel is missing making it hard to close the box. Where can I find a replacement part for this?
Asked by: JB
Don't Know, I would contact Home Depot.

What is the difference in this model and model DWST20880?

They are only about a $1 difference in price, and I see the color on the front looks different based on the pic on the website, but is anything else different? Thanks.
Asked by: Cassie
Not sure, it appears to have a slightly deeper storage area if you can unjam each box from the next. The sliders on each side of both models stick and make it impossible to slide.

Does it come apart?

Can you take each section apart if you only need say the top?
Asked by: Dinglee
Hi Dinglee, sorry this is a solid unit. You would want to take a look at the DeWalt tough system. That system goes together and you can separate the different tool boxes, so you can take only the box you need.

Almost impossible to open since each level of the tool box jams into the next making it very difficult to open, this toolbox could not handle the job it was made to do. Also, I ordered it on-line and though shipping was quick, it arrived in an oversized box with no patting nor protection and was already cracked in several areas from the shipping alone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea but NOT for the professional This tool box is way too expensive for the quality. If you only carry about 10 lbs of tools you may be ok but if you carry anything more than that and are planning on using it everyday it will only last a short time. The first thing to go will be the plastic slider arms then the wheels. It does have a lot of storage room and the large storage compartment is a great idea but if you put anything substantial inside it will break. This box is NOT for the professional tech, wish it was stronger because it does have a lot of room to carry the tools you need but does not have the strength to back it up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is good for holding loose tools and small items This tool box works like a tool box should but I purchased it because I believed it was built by De Walt. I later notice the De Walt name on the box was a sticker and found this tool box with other makers names on the same box. This was not the high grade tool box I thought I was buying but a generic box that I probably have found at a lower price with another name on it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For home use, not heavy construction This chest is decent for home use but it is not sturdy enough for the jobsite. I suggest the "Rigid" stackable tool chest for heavy construction.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made by Stan! Looks like they just slapped the Dewalt name on this one and expected people to pay more! Stan F-Max 020800R is the same box for less money, for gods sake they even use the same stock photos for both of them on the website! If u want to waste ur money at least waste less and get the Stan F-Max! Just step up and go for the Ridgid 3 piece set for a few bucks more!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just okay Great for organizing and doing city jobs. Haven't had it long but read one other review about its durability. No problems yet but I can understand why the arms and wheels will wear out with any prolonged professional use. I figured I would be putting stronger wheels on it eventually. The other issue is if it's loaded with tools it's not easy to load and unload from the truck without help. Rigid makes one that is stackable with latches that hold three boxes together. I will be getting that one as well and see how it holds up. Just wish the "engineers" and "designers" at these companies would actually work with some of the things they design before they put them on the market!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Missing a top removable tray How cheep can you get? Stanley makes the same tool box, it comes with a top removable tray and they sell it for a lot less money. I thought I was buying a good tool box not a name. Maybe I can get Stanley to sell me a top tray for this box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not your average tool box I'm a cosmetology instructor and have so many styling tool to bring to class and this is the best investment I could have purchased. I say a student with it and ask her where she purchased it. Needless to say I ordered me one. The way it open its like my styling tool are there and ready to use. I lock it up store it at school until the end of the semester and then bring it home. Absolutely love it. Thanks
