Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by sbrnswk This is not Dewalt quality
Purchased this stapler based upon the Dewalt name and features. Own many pieces of Dewalt construction tools and power equipment which have performed great. This product on the other hand is an absolute disgrace to the Dewalt name. Misfeeds, broken staples, damaged working surfaces, five presses per staple if you don't have to remove and reload. Too much aggravation for a product with this name. Do not recommend. It's funny that the product recommendation button will not slide to 'no.'

Replaced a less expensive staple gun that didn't work anymore. This one is sturdier easier to use and will handle more sizes of staples and brads. Very satisfied

This staple only worked twice before jamming or whatever...it wont staple! I read the reviews before ordering and many customers complained about it not lasting BUT I thought they were not putting the correct staples etc. WELL....I find that this is not the case at all! I lost my receipt other wise I would have returned it! Very displeased!

This is my first staple gun. It seems quite sturdy yet is not heavy. It performed well. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Bought this about 6 weeks ago primarily for my wife's little projects involving stapling material/fabric such as fringe trim to furniture. Haven't tried it on her projects yet, but have used it on my projects.
Results: Shot about 100 rounds of 3/8's staples and about 100 5/8/s brads into pine wood and plywood. It works just as advertised. No jams, solid hits, especially the brad nailer. Staoples takes a little practice to learn how to angle the unit and where to expect the fasteners to come out, but, works great.
No experience using other size fasteners. I let my wife try, as the span for squeezing the handle is pretty wide and my wife has a small hand. My wife had NO problem. Now, she only shot about 5 rounds, so I don't know how her hands would feel after 50 to 100, but she liked the results and found it easy to use.
Loading the fasteners is quite simple. We experienced NO jams/misfires. Staples did not always come out perfectly flat, but, I think that due more to the operator. So took a small hammer to finish driving.
The one thing it would NOT go into is 1/8 pegboard, with the hard white surface. I was experimenting to learn it's capapbilities and limitations. So I don't know how effective it would be on something like oak or maple.
I'd highly recommend this on the basis of value, effectiveness, and ease of use.

I have made my purchases of Dewalt products from The Home Depot since I have moved to central Texas. I have a small place in the country and have used the products, i.e.: drill, saws, etc., since being here. Excellent quality and no problems.

I bought this stapler to attach insulation to 5/8 inch plywood I was using for kennel storm doors. I used both 3/8 and 1/2 inch staples from Powershot and Arrow. I didn't experience any of the jamming or failures that others wrote. It worked great and stapled all the way down and this is not cheap particle board plywood. So for my job, it worked great.
