I have a bunch of Dewalt tools and this is one of my favorite. While the size is a little cumbersome at times, but it is really nice to be able to be able to shoot stuff on without setting up a compressor or dragging a hose around. It also doen't need gas canisters which saves money and the hassel of messing with them. I found it particularly useful for installing windows, doors, sofit, etc. where you are up on ladder. It has a ladder hook too which is nice if you need to hang it till you are ready. Overall it has paid for itself numerous times.

This thing has been a life saver, yes it is a bit large though some people mentioned the weight being an issue I had no problem with doing a full room of trim with it though I am a decently strong guy I wouldn't consider myself he-man or anything. The size does make it difficult to maneuver into tight corners though or at least at angles I would like, other then that its great, lasts awhile on a single charge and no lugging a compressor around!

I'm a fan of Dewalt products, own 10 tools that use the 18 volt battery, including the 18 gauge nail gun. So it was a no brainer when I needed a 15 gauge nail gun. Even though the nail guns that use air are cheaper, you can't beat the convenience of a battery operated unit for moving around without having to worry about the hose or the noise from the compressor. This gun has worked flawlessly!

i used this gun to trim an entire 4 star hotel lobby in cherry. wonderfull tool. the only issue i ran into was getting the safty on the buissnes end to push in alll the way on some angled shots. i'll take that over lugging a compressor around and having minimal noise while working in a establishment thats open for buissnes.

I put "reccomend" on this, but hesitatingly, with several caveats. I own nearly all of the cordless nailers in the Dewalt product line, I think the only one I don't have is the 18g angle finish nailer (I bought their straight clip version instead). I needed a cordless 15g nailer for doing camper interiors when I bought this and my air nailer was giving me problems anyway. Of all of the Dewalt nailers I have, this one jams the most and often jams badly, curling a nail up inside and causing me to have to stop work, open up the feed mechanism and pry the nail out with pliers. Other times, something does not reset right in the anvil and I have to stop, pop it open, manually push the anvil back and then it works right. Other times, I am having to clear nail tape residue out of it but that is not always the cause of the jams. That said, choices on the market are very limited with cordless nailers in this size and I bought this because at the time I was pretty married to the Dewalt 18v XRP battery system. As soon as Dewalt comes up with a product improved 20v version of this, I will buy one. I keep using this one when I need larger finish nails and the job can't be done with the framing nailer without risking splitting wood. The power on this is nice and the adjustments really help since when it is working I can adjust nailing power and depth on this much easier than with an air nailer. It is durable and has been in the rain a couple times with no problems.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Larry A high quality tool.
I have used this tool three times since my purchase. Easy set-up and hassle free operation. Thus far the gun has not jammed or mis-fired. A bit on the heavy side, but to be expected with the 18V battery pack.

No fuel cells to deal with. Seems to have plenty of power to drive a 2-inch finish nail. 34-degree angle is a plus.
