I was very Skeptical when I bought this tool. I've used many of cordless impact guns with little success. A friend recomended this tool, I even used it a couple time before I bought. I was highly impressed. So 2 days later I went and bought one.
I opted for a cordless impact gun do to the simple fact I dont have an onboad air compressor in my truck. I bought this impact so when I'm out 4 wheeling, and i need to replace a flat or fix NEAR anything I can do it with ease.
The shortly after I bought this, my air compressor at home died on me. So I have use this inpact gun in place of a Pneumatic air gun for nearly 6 months. In that time I coundnt find one nut or bolt I couldnt take off.
It also worked great for laging up a 6x6 post on a brick wall. I have had only one problem with it. One of the batterys went bad in about 6-7 months. I called Dwalt, they sent out a new battery. No probs since.

I bought this tool to take off my lawn mower blades, as I change them often having a lawn care business. I have also used this tool to take the tires off of my truck, among other things. I have found this tool to be as powerful as any other impact wrench that is hooked to a compressor. It's portability is unbeatable!

I bought this for my work to remove locking bolts from Catch Basin and Manhole covers. It works awesome! Huge time saver and has enough power to remove bolts that I can't get out with a wrench. This is a must if you have to deal with storm drain and sewer covers all day long. Great battery life too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Scungllihead Dewalt tops on cordless drills
In my opinion, the Dewalt cordless drills are a workhorse. Mine has worked well for over 8 years. I have the "hammer drill" option on it which made drilling into concrete and brick a godsend. It has taken spills off of a ladder many times, and still runs as it did when I purchased it. I have a cheap brand drill in my car for quick repairs on the road, but I always break out the Dewalt for the Real projects. Although other drills may be tempting with a lower price...you really do get what you pay for. Work and projects are easier with a well made tool that is right for the job.
Only possible downside for some people may be the weight of drill, which makes it not the easiest to use to do work overhead, such as sheetrock. Stick with a drywall gun for those jobs, unless you want a good workout. This is not really a problem, but purely attributed to the units solid construction.
Only other advice is to follow the guidlines on the battery so you dont lose it's strength and power.
Overall you cant go wrong with this drill. Nice solid unit and steps up to the plate and delivers reliable consistent performance every time.
