Customer Reviews

#2 x 2 in. Phillips Power Bits 5-Pieces is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as the old ones These are listed as #2 phillips, but the head size is reduced some from older models, and they appear closer in size to #1 phillips. This observation is bourne out in an increased tendency to "cam-out". Please bring back the legacy product, which was the best I have tried. Note to others. Bosch are decent, almost as good as the legacy dewalt, but Milwaukee are pure garbage. Stay far far away!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fair These strip fairly quickly in both corded and cordless drills, and eventually snap in impact drivers. Okay to use in 1-5/8" and smaller screws in softwood, but forget using these with 3" deck screws. I am recommending but only for light use, and because the price seems fair. For regular or professional use, I would recommend a "impact driver rated" bit instead for both drills and impact drivers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product met the need. This set of bits met the need at the time. I am thankful there were more than one in the package and my helper and I were both able to use screw guns at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits most sizzes I find that a #2 bit fits most size Phillips head screws these have a good use span and are worth the $$ been using these over the past 5 years

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bit to get the job done These bits seem to last a bit longer than others I have used. The price is very fair. The edges hold up well and the bits don't strip out (as long as you don't continually spin them in the head of the screw.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product was not up to par. I use a Dewalt 18V Driver, I was using (gold screws, 3" grip rite). I had to use the entire package of bits to get the job done because the tips either twisted or they snapped off completely. I think they used some cheap steel to make this batch of bits ! Not satisfied with the quality, but when I am out on a job I do not have time to drive back to return a product I was frustrated with and threw out in the field because they kept breaking.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impact Driver must have I have a DeWalt 18v Impact Driver and the bit it came with was serving me well, driving 3" wood screws, after attempting to drive through a particularly nasty knot I finally snapped the bit it came with. I had read a review on another site that said not to use the DeWalt bits, so I bought some driver bits in a red topped tic-tac container... then I learned why the other review said the other brand didn't snap ... it doesn't grab. The head of the DeWalt lets it firmly grip inside a #2 screw, so all the torque from your driver is transferred to the bit and screw. The other brand popped out and stripped the head. You can't snap a bit if you don't get any resistance. (I did like the tic-tac container though, the dewalts are just shrink wrapped to cardboard... guess they don't do fancy packaging). These bits will snap eventually, but they're your workhorse, they will transfer that torque until they pop, and they won't strip the head of your screws leaving you to cut them off.
