The DCF895C2 20V Max Lithium Ion Brushless 3-Speed ¼ in. Impact Driver (1.5AH) features the company’s first-ever Cordless Brushless (BL) Motor technology, which is engineered to achieve maximum runtime. The Dewalt-designed and built BL motor works more efficiently compared to brushed motors, and provides 57 percent longer runtime versus Dewalt brushed impact drivers in a compact, cool-running, durable cordless power tool. In addition to longer runtime, the new units offer three speeds for enhanced application control that will benefit a variety of professionals. For example, steel stud framers will be able to rely on the third setting for self-tapping screw driving in metal, while remodelers will be able to use the second setting for controlled fastening applications such as door hinge installation. Woodworkers and electricians will be able to use the first setting for finish work such as faceplate installation. The electro-mechanical speed selector is easily seen at all times and can be actuated with little effort. The units include an innovative push button, 1/4-inch chuck. The chuck accepts 1-inch bit tips and allows contractors to complete one-handed accessory changes with the push of a button. The new impact driver is lightweight at only 3.0 pounds and just 5 1/4 inches in length, the products are the shortest impact drivers Dewalt offers. The DCF895C2 includes: impact driver, (2) 1.5 Ah batteries with fuel gauges, charger, belt hook, accessory storage and kit box.

  • Brushless motor; maximum runtime
  • 3 Speed design, application specific control
  • Push button chuck, one handed operation for accessory changes
  • Compact (5.25 in. front to back), lightweight design (3.0 lb.) fits into tight areas
  • Three (3) LED lights around the chuck with 20 second delay after trigger release, provide visibility with limited shadows
  • Battery fuel gauge indicator with three LED lights, provides end users with guidance about the level of battery runtime available in the pack
  • Belt hook and accessory storage included for portability
  • Other batteries and chargers sold separately, this tool works with these batteries (DCB200, DCB201) and chargers (DCB101, DCB119, DCB103)

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My Review... I am active DYIer who loves professional high-grade tools. I am currently building a massive deck (30x40) in the backyard, and needed a stronger, and longer lasting drill then my 12v Craftsman. I did a lot of research and was torn between the Milwaukee (Fuel 18v) and Dewalt (BL 20v) Brushless impact drill/driver. First of all the Dewalt is not 20v, but 18v -The company listed this to keep people from confusing themselves when purchasing other batteries from Dewalt (Example: 18XLP). Both the M-18 fuel and BL impact perform to similar standards and specs. The only reason I purchased this item, was for the push button chuck release, which turned out to be a pain. I was driving lag bolts and found after heavy use that the bit would get stuck. I would have to either jiggle or pry them apart. This defeated the purpose of the a "quick release." My father shortly after punched the M-18 to speed up production. After continued use of both tools I found that the dewalt was more confortable, had a better light than the M-18 (my opinion) but did get hotter then the M-18. Both drills lasted all day and I was very impressed with the performance and power that the brushless motor provided. Both impacts have over load protection, some kind of factory warranty and range the same in the price range. The dewalt was a little easier to squeeze into small places while the M-18 was a little faster when driving screws and drilling holes. Over all I am still not sure which BL impact drill is better, I guess it would be down to brand loyalty. Only with time I will found out which tool and battery lasts longer (before replacement). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One nice unit I used several different impacts with friends and family over time. I looked at all options and specs, this one despite cost, out shined them all. It is lite as the rest, better LEDS, better torque, equal or higher RMP's, plus being brushless I know outlast the rest, in battery life and life of the unit. I ran this unit next to a green and grey model, it dropped screws faster, drove lags deeper and ran almost twice as long on one battery. The chuck release was also a great improvement, a push button is much better than a slide sleeve. June 19, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Tool! This driver is amazing! Even with only the 1.5 batteries it lasted forever, and was a powerhouse. The 3 speed selection really helps dial in the right torque for the job, and likely save your batter life when you don't need to blast in every screw. The battery charge indicator is also a great feature to keep an eye on when you need to change out, so you don't go dead while up in a lift or on a ladder unexpectedly. The easy bit release comes in great handy. Only complaint is there is a little bit of wobble when using drill bits, but its primary function is not drilling. (might even be the bits I used, need to try another set) Dewalt quality all the way. January 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long lasting battery, small and compact, lightweight This is my first DeWalt tool and so far it's lived up to it's name. I've used it for everything from putting metal screws in vent pipe to framing and even driving tapcons into masonary block. The three LED lights on the impact driver help illuminate you workspace in tight quarters. This has come especially handy in the basement when working between the joists. I also really like the led's on the batteries to let you know when they need to be charged. May 15, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Impact Driver was just as advertised. Very happy with the promptness of the order. I loved that I could order it and have it shipped. Was working and the store didn't have it in stock. August 13, 2013
