Product Overview

The DEWALT DCS380B 20-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Reciprocating Saw has a four-position blade clamp that allows for flush cutting and increased positional versatility with tool-free blade changes. The 1-1/8 in. stroke length allows the blade to cut more material in one pass than blades with shorter lengths, allowing you to work more efficiently. To my knowledge dewalt only has one style of 20v LI-ION battery connection. There are a few different battery capacities but the all utilize the same mating surface. As long as your batteries are LI-ION they should work. Worse case you could always take one of your batteries to the store and check as they do stock this saw.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 56 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quite a tool I have never owned a reciprocating saw before nor have I operated one. I needed something to cut up tree branches and I had to decide between a saw or a chain saw. I figured the reciprocating saw would be easier to control so I went with it. I always buy Dewalt products and I needed a battery operated product so after reading some reviews I decided on the one I bought. This is a big tool but not too heavy. It generates a lot of power and shakes the goobers out of me. I quickly learned that what ever I'm cutting has to be fixed in some way. I tried cutting loose branches with little success. I brought out my portable work bench and clamped the branches down and then had some cutting fun. I'm sure this tool will be much used in the coming years. October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst purchase for a plumber. I have gone through 3 sawzall's just this year. I now cannot find my receipt to home depot nor can i log into dewalt for my warranty. I am 20 year commercial plumber and depend on my tools everyday and this sawzall has let me down at every bad time i can think of. October 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Saw. 4-7 Min Battery Life. Huge Disappointment. I purchased and used to cut small 1-3 inch overgrowth/limbs on my property. My Dewalt corded unit has been great but I wanted the flexibitly of a batt powered tool. Well this tool is not there yet. I have lots of 20V Dewalt tools and this is the only subpar tool in the bunch. With 4 fully charged factory dewalt batteries, I went to work and this tool went through all 4 batteries in under 30 minutes!!!! It takes forever to recharge 4 batteries on 2 chargers and the job was barely started.Terrible tool. I`m taking this thing back today. August 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! Power and quality. I cut thick metal and it did the work. Not me. October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dewalt - Enough Said Works like a charm with plenty of power to get the job done. 5 ahr battery was enough to last all day trimming limbs from my property. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great piece of equipment I like the blades quick change feature and the power from the battery is fantastic June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome! Boom! So fun having this new tool. I'm a normal dude that does around the house stuff. I got this for destroying a metal shed and quickly made it into a pile of sobbing metal on the ground. Next, I killed the old slider door and moved on to trimming the trees around my yard. Momma came outside and asked to go get the Christmas tree and BAM! Threw this in the truck, tossed the kids in the car and headed off tot the local tree farm. Did I stop at the checkout for a wimpy hand saw. Heck no! I began walking the lot armed with this baby looking like I had some super power. When we found our tree it was tumbling down in seconds. Great tool! December 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This tool is a Beast This Saw is bad to the bone, just on 1.5 amp battery I cut a 12 foot, 1/4 inch thick 4 inch in diameter Street Sign pole that was put in my Moms front yard in the 50s in less than a minute, this thing weighs over 60 pounds, after that I cut down half of a Grapefruit tree that was about 6 inches in diameter and trimmed all of that down before the battery went dead, The adjustable guard as well as the 4 position assemble for the Blade is very handy. Nice saw!! July 27, 2013
