Rated 4 out of 5Â by duck good buy
good buy and needed one for awhile and had a project that I needed this for and it worked will for the job that I did. Also had been looking to buy one for awhile. The only thing that I didn't like is that it did not come with a battery. If you buy a drill it should come with a battery.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by nselegzi Much better than right angle bit, but ...
If you already have DeWalt tools and 20v batteries, this is great addition to your collection of tools. You may not need it often, but when you do it's a blessing. It's a much better alternative to right-angle bits that you can buy for $20. It's easier to control and the power is great. It is not a miracle worker, though. The chuck is small, but not so small that you're going to get into all those nooks in crannies you might need to get into. Also, trigger is too large, resulting in your constantly starting the drill when you really don't want to. There is no torque control on this drill, but you can control the speed of the drill using the trigger.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by ckuhtz chuck broken after 1 month
loved the tool at first, after one month the toolless chuck would not open anymore. just progressively got worse. makes a grinding noise, tension is failing, too. retail price for the part is $30 without labor, tool retail cost is $120. probably not worth repairing at service center. can't find my receipt since I wasn't expecting this to fail anytime soon, so, i'm probably out of luck with home depot as well. very disappointed with such a poor quality part on what is supposed to be a high quality tool brand. seriously, a broken chuck locking mechanism after half a dozen uses?? never seen this before.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by bigwheel Dewalt quality and great torque.
Does require the 20V Dewalt battery. If you have the regular drill, this will make a great pair. (Plus a good place to store the 2nd battery.) If you don't, the battery price may make it cost prohibitive. Tremendous torque and power, but no clutch settings so be careful when driving screws.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Kprtx Works great, but makes some wierd noises when over torqued
Works well but makes some scary sounds when it gets over torqued like with a 1 inch wood bit. It could just be it's got a clutch that slips. Works great for tight spots, I use it as much as my normal drill.
