This is a great level. 24 inches of metal. Feels very solid and durable. 3 bubble levels for balancing. I had to knock 1 star for what looks like scratches. Looks like the handling and processing is not smooth since there were nicks and dings on the level.

I am beginning to think DeWalt is concerned about the common everyday tools that you use on a job site.
This 24” level is a tough monkey. It has a hand hold built right in and makes it easy to hold on to when leveling anything. I also like the idea of strong magnets on one side so when you are working with metal beams or pipe this level gets a grip and won’t let go. The vials with the bubbles in them are larger than normal which makes them very easy to read from almost any angle. The rubber boots on each end help absorb shock from a drop and protects the level. The level is made of a strong metal and it has a hefty feel to it when you are using it. It’s not a light weight tool. It is also wide so you don’t have to do a balancing act to get it to set on the edge of something. It is short enough to fit in the tool bag but not to long when working in a tight space. The only thing that would make this level “more better” would be to add some type of light to the vials so when working in a dimly lighted space you could see the bubbles. I like the feel of the level and the easy to read bubbles in a good light. I don’t know why I hesitated getting this heavy duty tool

OK, it doesn't have 45 degrees. Is that bad? Well if you want a level for typical construction, this one is a bit smarter. Why? It can indicate plumb (vertical) on both ends. You don't have to think about which end is up. Just grab it and stick it up. It's magnetic and sticks to steel studs well. It's pretty darn solid, and has what I believe to be very durable construction. I say this, since I tend to not abuse levels, intentionally. This seems to be a nice rugged, 'go to' level. 24" can check door jambs, etc. I recommend it to anyone who needs a rugged unit. Price is fair, for the build quality.
