Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It's ok, but, ....... This drill has plenty of power, easy to grip. Can get heavy in the hand if there is a lot of drilling to do. For big jobs, it heats up quickly, becomes hot to hold. The trigger is sensitive, if you are using a driver bit, be careful as it will push too deep. Trigger also develops dead spots. The chuck sometimes sticks/jams, especially when using spade bits. Have had to use a vice grip on either side to release. For $60 it's ok, but don't go into business with it! November 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really solid keyless chuck, finally I have to confess, I had been using spade bits with my cordless drills up until I got this drill. I got tired of drilling 5 holes and switching batteries, so I picked this up. After my experience with cordless keyless chucks, I was wary of picking up a non-keyed corded drill, but the ratcheting mechanism on this chuck makes for a tight fit and i havent had any problem with slippage. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not as good as the older model. I purchased this drill as a back up for my 8 year old DW106 (I changed the brushes twice so I figured it was on its last leg). It has 2 more amps than my older model and you definitely feel the power difference although not as much as I would think. The main difference seems to be quality. My older model was made in the USA and this one China (the first one I bought was DOA so I exchanged it for another one). My older model runs smoother with less vibration and noise. This model also does not have a lock on button like my older one has so if you're using it with a wheel like I am its hard on your fingers. Don't understand why they omitted this feature. I give my older model 5 stars and this one 3. Otherwise this drill is just ok. March 15, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gets Hot Fast Seems to be high quality, but after driving 8 lag bolts over an hour it is too hot to use. I would step up to the 1/2" chuck model, but it doesn't have the RPM's I might occasionally need and doesn't have significantly more amperage. December 29, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable workhorse I am on my second drill of this type, the first having been stolen, and it has proved useful and reliable. I have two reservations, however. The designers believe that it requires two fingers to operate the switch, which is clearly not the case as it is quite sensitive. This leaves enough space on the handle for a third finger and a pinky to hold the drill, a challenge for my geriatric hand. Grasping the drill in awkward positions usually results in the drill starting up as I involuntarily grasp the switch. This shortcoming highlights the frequent need for two-handed operation, particularly for wire brushing, etc, but the nose has neither handle nor space to grip without covering the cooling vent or getting friction burns from the chuck. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Corded Drill This is a great corded drill to have around. Plenty of power and good trigger (speed) control. If you need power and are on a budget (those 18V cordless drills are really expensive, not to mention when the batteries stop holding a charge), this is a great choice. It doesn't have a clutch like most cordless drills do, but a little practice on the trigger and its just fine. I really like having this around to supplement my inexpensive 14V cordless. This thing costs less than a replacement battery for one of those big cordless drills. Definitely a better value for me. If you really NEED power and portability you're going to have to spend the money, but if you can deal with an extension cord when you really need max power, this will work at a fraction of the price. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New Drill This drill works great around the house.I like the keyless chuck feature, April 30, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by The drill is off center. If I had time I would replace it, but i can't find the time and energy to deal with it.... November 4, 2014
