Picked up at store. The compressor was strapped to a pallet and loaded on my trailer by forklift. I was able to unload easily using ramp on the trailer. The instructions were clear about run nun at no load for 30 minutes. The compressor performs well.
The one negative is that the noise level in my shop is > 85 decibels. It is rated at 78 outside, so I guess I should have expected that. It is okay if you stay about 3 feet away from it. I also wish the tank was mounted a little higher so that it is easier to get to the drain valve. I also added a shutoff valve to the air line for convenience.
Overall, I am well satisfied and would recommend this compressor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by John52 Very good compressor
I needed a 30 gal 2 hp compressor for said carving equipment. This was perfect. Very low noise, I measured 76 db. No leaks and lots of headroom. I can't speak to various air tools but for my application it is perfect.

I have not had this tool for very long but so far I'm happy with it. Pumps up quickly. Runs fairly quiet. Delivers a good volume of air. I use angle head and straight high speed tool for cutoff ( zizwheel) and it keeps up. I picked up at the store. Pretty straight forward there but I had to borrow a pickup and its owner to haul it since laying it down would cause the oil to leak out. It comes set up for 110 volt operation. I was going to change over to 220 V but I didn't want to mess with getting a new cord and plug. If I needed more heavy duty use I would change over for the economy factor. No leak down on tank pressure so far. I like the advanced push in quick connector.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ParttimeMcGyver Meets expectations
I read reviews for months & settled on Dewalt when HD knocked $80 off of the price. It was the best CFM rate I saw in a 30 gallon compressor in that price range. Performs as expected. Expected drawbacks include the proximity of the pet cock drain to the floor (will replace) and the lack of solid tires. Unexpected were the strong smell of the rubber (handles and feet) and slightly low pump oil at delivery (added). None of these were deal breakers for me. Comes fully assembled & ready for break-in. The pump and tank are key to performance and longevity & they both seem to be what you'd expect from Dewalt. Time will tell.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MikeROC Top end product for its class
The product performs well. It has enough power to run alot of tools. Make sure your breaker is at least 20a. This thing runs at 15 which will trip a 15a breaker in most situations. Product is shipped with oil already in it. Make sure you leave it right side up when bringing it home or the oil will leak out all over the place. Dewalt should have just kept a seperate thing of oil for the customer to add. Its heavy too, not ideal for portability unless you are 6'5" and 350 lbs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dave All the compressor I'll ever need...
I am a big Dewalt fan, ever since working in a shop for building scenery for theatrical productions. Their tools are very well built, with great durability and power. This compressor is no exception - it's great! It builds up to 150+ lbs of pressure in ~10 minutes from an empty tank. Kicks back on when it gets to ~100 psi. It's reasonably "quiet" - I've certainly used much louder compressors - but it may be hard to hold a normal conversation while its compressing air...
It holds pressure extremely well - I leave it for weeks with 100+ psi in it, and every time I check it, it hasn't dropped at all. So nice to have that air ready all the time!
I highly recommend changing out the drain mechanism on the tank - it's very difficult to reach and turn it to drain water. I'd put a 90 street elbow on there, with a small lead of regular pipe, going to a nice ball valve. That's what I'm going to do, so I can open the drain more easily.
With the ability to put out 7 CFM at 40 psi, and nearly 6 CFM at 90 PSI, it'll run everything I'll ever need it to. And it's super nice that you can just plug it in to any 120V socket (you DO want to make sure it's on a 20A breaker, as it really pulls some serious amps, especially at startup!)
If you are going to transport it from the store to your home, be ready to deal with spilled oil, if you lay it down from any length of time (more than a few minutes). We had to travel ~30 minutes, and a good bit of the oil came out. Still had enough in it, though, to run just fine, and complete the break-in procedure. I eventually purchased the Dewalt synthetic compressor oil off of Amazon -- it's blue -- and topped it off.
The pneumatic wheels really help when moving this thing around, though it's heavy enough that I hope I never have to roll it through uneven/grassy terrain by myself! Cast iron is heavy!
Overall, 100% satisfied! Great product - will enjoy using this for years and years...
