The product performs well. It has enough power to run alot of tools. Make sure your breaker is at least 20a. This thing runs at 15 which will trip a 15a breaker in most situations. Product is shipped with oil already in it. Make sure you leave it right side up when bringing it home or the oil will leak out all over the place. Dewalt should have just kept a seperate thing of oil for the customer to add. Its heavy too, not ideal for portability unless you are 6'5" and 350 lbs.

Great compresssor, really like the 155PSI capability. I added an elbow to the tank drain because it was hard to reach.

I am a big Dewalt fan, ever since working in a shop for building scenery for theatrical productions. Their tools are very well built, with great durability and power. This compressor is no exception - it's great! It builds up to 150+ lbs of pressure in ~10 minutes from an empty tank. Kicks back on when it gets to ~100 psi. It's reasonably "quiet" - I've certainly used much louder compressors - but it may be hard to hold a normal conversation while its compressing air...
It holds pressure extremely well - I leave it for weeks with 100+ psi in it, and every time I check it, it hasn't dropped at all. So nice to have that air ready all the time!
I highly recommend changing out the drain mechanism on the tank - it's very difficult to reach and turn it to drain water. I'd put a 90 street elbow on there, with a small lead of regular pipe, going to a nice ball valve. That's what I'm going to do, so I can open the drain more easily.
With the ability to put out 7 CFM at 40 psi, and nearly 6 CFM at 90 PSI, it'll run everything I'll ever need it to. And it's super nice that you can just plug it in to any 120V socket (you DO want to make sure it's on a 20A breaker, as it really pulls some serious amps, especially at startup!)
If you are going to transport it from the store to your home, be ready to deal with spilled oil, if you lay it down from any length of time (more than a few minutes). We had to travel ~30 minutes, and a good bit of the oil came out. Still had enough in it, though, to run just fine, and complete the break-in procedure. I eventually purchased the Dewalt synthetic compressor oil off of Amazon -- it's blue -- and topped it off.
The pneumatic wheels really help when moving this thing around, though it's heavy enough that I hope I never have to roll it through uneven/grassy terrain by myself! Cast iron is heavy!
Overall, 100% satisfied! Great product - will enjoy using this for years and years...

This air compressor is just the right size and durability that we need on the job. Portability is necessary and this works for us.

Worked well, but petcock is horribly designed and broke during break-in period. Called Dewalt and they never called back. Bought an aftermarket one and repaired it myself. Now, it works great. The oil fill glass is hard to read too. It looks like it's empty, but the fill reservoir won't take anymore oil.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cliff Works great with no problems at all
Shipping on time and inspected at the store upon arrival. Got it home and plugged it up and it worked perfectly after brake in procedure. Access to gauges and air supply easy to use. Pumped up to full pressure as advertised and builds up fast. It kicks on at 90 psi so air tools are easily supplied with the correct operating pressure. So far I am completely satisfied and don't expect any problems.

Buying through Home Depot was a good way to get my new air compressor. Went through break in instructions , and then let it set for a few hours to check for pressure drop on gauge. It did leak 10 #'s in that time. I found the leaks to be the discharge pipe from tank to regulator, and discharge pipe from regulator. I called the service # supplied , and was walked through step by step on how to tighten these two places without voiding any warranty , as I had to disconnect motor wires and regulator air line. Now it does not leak at all, and it is so quite. It was a good purchase, and I'm happy !!!

This is a very well built compressor that is very quiet compared to most others. Its recovery time is quick and has adjustable shut off pressure. I use 6 cfm cut-off and impact tools with no lag time at 90 psi - it keeps up with out problem. I would say that it may not be worth the extra $200 over the Husky or Kobalt twin cylinder 1.9 hp models which are very similar with specs, but it looks very cool to the friends and neighbors! A+
