Yeah they are a bit expensive but if you are a contractor and need tools that will last you a very long time, go with Dewalt 36v. I have used the hammer drill to drill on concrete with ease. I have also attached a 71/4 masonry blade on the circular saw to cut retaining wall pieces with no problem at all. The 36v Dewalt tools are powerful. I've owned the Dewalt 36v tools for about 4 years and other than having to replace the light bulb on the light, I have not had any issues with these tools. I would not trade them for anything else.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CelticMarine Outstanding Combination of Tools at Great Price!
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He has been waiting for DeWalt to come out with a 36 volt Li-ion Cordless circular saw. While looking for that item I came across the combo kit. It was much more cost effective to purchase this way rather than piece-meal. My husband LOVES the set. He has many other 18 volt DeWalt tools. He has always been pleased with the quality & durability of the brand. The 36 volt Li-ion just give him so much more power and versatility with a minimal increase in weight. He is able to get through all his projects without his arm being ready to fall out of the socket. Definately an excellant product....

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AceOfAllTrades The only drill you will ever need
Let me just say that I only own the drill but I felt obligated to let every one know that this drill has it all. I dont even use my corded hammer drill anymore, the 36volt is even more powerful.
I also have the 18 volt and had the 24 volt, the 36 volt is more powerful than both of them put together and is a little heavier than the 18 volt but surprisingly lighter than the 24 volt.
This drill is a must have for all contractors. Battery lasts for ever too.
If the other tools are as good as the drill which im sure they are, then this is the last combo set you will ever buy.

I'm a heating contractor have used dewalt bosch milwalkee and rigid cordlees tools and many no name brands. The battery "slide on design" is a must on the heavier tools and then you need a heavy duty design, good gears, and strong sturdy handles since they will break down from the torque and abuse. The dewalt 36 volt meets these requirements, I would not hesitate buying the Milwalkee 28 volt kit either.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Philip Great product!!
The hammer drill performed better than I expected drilling into concrete. The reciprocating saw is great, I really like the two different positions for the blade. The floodlight delivers plenty of light and the flexable neck comes in handy. I like the circular saw the best out of this set, with the 7 1/4 inch blade and plenty of power it's great for framing projects. Very happy with this product!!

I was renovating a new rental propterty when I discovered that there was more work to be done than initially planned. I ran to Home Depot when my current set of cordless tools weren't enough for the job. I was very happy with the new tools and found uses for the all of the tools especially the grinder while cutting cast iron pipe.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rodewald13 Heavy, but so nice!
This is the best kit Ive ever had. Although the tools are heavy the benefit is how long the batteries last. For general framing needs around the job site (not cutting a bunk of studs) the circular saw goes all day on one battery for.
