Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome tile saw! I have used other saws before but the dewalt wet dry tile saw worked perfectly made cutting mrecomend counter tops easy tile floors look perfect. The lock out mechanisms on the trigger.allows you to keep a steady pressure using both hands without adding extra pressure ... If this saw will work for me after a full day at work and make it this easy I highly recommend September 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great with small "issues" The DEWALT wet saw is great. I went to and saw this product. No one carries it in store, so I had to order it online and wait for it to arrive (about a week). In the box, comes a tile saw. However, I am cutting concrete blocks (for a retaining wall, for example), so I had to go back and buy a saw to cut concrete. I bought a 4.5 inch blade, which did NOT fit. SO I returned that one and bought a 4 inch version (fit like a charm). After hooking up the "wet" mechanism and turning on the water, I found that even in the "off" position, water kept coming out. Additionally, the plastic water tube falls off of the on/off valve fairly easily. That being said, I was able to cut concrete really easily (with the water flowing). To cut 4 inch concrete, you have to cut on all sides and then use a hammer and chisel to finalize the cut. It works out. The trigger is pressure sensitive. So the harder you squeeze, the faster the blade spins. One hand operation is possible, but becomes tiresome Feels really sturdy and powerful! It's a good saw. May 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a Wet Saw I wanted to add fiber optic lighting to my indoor pool. I needed a wet saw to cut a slot in my gunite/plaster pool wall. I looked at expensive wall chaser tools (Baier) and decided I could achieve the same result with a single cut wet saw. I wanted a wet saw to avoid the generation of dust which would damage my HVAC system. I researched the DeWalt DWC 860W and compared it to a half a dozen competitors. I found a positive review and chose the DeWalt because it seemed the best choice overall. After receiving the saw, reading the instructions I discovered that the saw cannot be used as a wet saw in any position other than table top horizontal (cutting down into the material) in order to avoid water entering the motor housing. I examined the housing and indeed there is an opening on the bottom which could allow water to enter the housing. I was planning to make angled cuts in my pool wall. This tool will not cut it. It would have been ethical for DeWalt to make this known before I made my purchase decision. It seems to me that the saw was not designed originally as a wet saw, but that the watering system was added as an afterthought. It may only be useful as a wet saw for table top cutting. Very disappointed that I did not find this information before making my purchase. No more DeWalt products for me. December 10, 2013
