My dissatisfaction with this stapler is mostly based on the fact that it broke the very first time I used it. I was able to put in about ten staples before the hardened steel driving blade shattered. Now it only drives one leg of the staple and mangles the other.
Another annoyance about this stapler is the safety locking lever, which you can see at the very front end of the operating lever. If you use this stapler upside-down, the lever falls down and locks with every action, making it extremely difficult to use for, say, attaching insulation to pitched ceilings or walls. I tried using tape or other means to hold it out of the way, but eventually just tore it off because it's a poorly-conceived safety feature anyway.
I replaced this stapler with a more expensive DeWalt model that I'm unable to even load the staples into (it uses the same T50 staples, or so I thought when I read the label.. they just don't fit). I will be returning it and going back to my cheap old Arrow stapler, which hurts my hands and can't fully penetrate framing lumber or MDF but has never failed to operate.
This product has made me question my brand loyalty to DeWalt.

I had needed a staple gun for a while now, you know, for the occasional hanging of Christmas decorations and such, but when I was tasked with fixing the entertainment center, refurnishing the bar stools, and getting the network cables tacked up, I knew I needed something better than ye olde standard gun. This thing does EVERYTHING! I love that you can use light or heavy duty staples, cable tacks and brad nails, and that there is a setting for more or less power depending on how deeply set you need the staple to go. It is lightweight, compact, heavy duty, easy to use and even has a nice clip to hang off a belt or tool box! I debated paying that little bit extra for all about as long as it took me to review the features on the packaging!!!

I would give this staple gun zero stars if I could, I picked it up because I needed a staple gun right away and I assumed more expensive = quality. I honestly couldn't have been more wrong, constant double feed and misfire with this thing, no matter what staples I used. Didn't even work reliably into drywall.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CellarDoor The Stapler that Eats Staples
Bought this stapler and a box of Arrow T50x1/2" staples for tacking up ~75' of 10' wide 6 mil plastic op wood for a project. Unfortunately this stapler liked eating the staples more then it liked stapling the plastic... When using the low power setting it would have 1 good strike for every four staples that were eaten. Using the high power mode it would eat three staples for every good strike.
Not sure if this is an individual product defect as I cannot find anything visually wrong with any of the components, so I will be returning this stapler and trying another brand.

The one I got may have been defective but it was horrible to use. It jammed on the first staple I tried, then the loading mechanism kept popping open and all the staples would fall out. The only thing I liked was the handy belt clip.

I purchased this manual stapler about 2 years ago and have used it lightly over the years. I switched to Brad Tacker nails and after the first nail the follower jammed then broke. To my surprise this "heavy duty" aluminum body stapler has a plastic follower and plastic spring anchors /attachments. I have a Dewalt Power Drill still in use for 15 years with no issues.

I bought this staple gun and I love the feel and the power of this staple gun. I was skeptical due to all of the poor reviews on how it keeps jamming. I read several of these 1 star reviews claiming the tool was junk and kept jamming. I have a strong feeling that these people did not realize there is a toggle switch to choose between light duty and heavy duty staples. If this is set wrong then of course the tool will not work properly. I am happy I ignored these ignorant people's reviews and bought this staple gun. I love it!

This 4-in-1 Staple gun made by DeWalt is another well made product. We have a DeWalt drill for over 20 years and yes, it still works great. Of course, with the exception of having gone through several batteries over the years, it still keeps on working and are very pleased it does.
I'm a women at the age of collecting social security (ah-hum), but I can still enjoy a small home project now and then. The recent project I used both DeWalt equipment (drill & staple gun) was to install a small tv wall mount. The staple gun was loaded with the T25 9/16" cable staples kept the coaxial cable neatly tacked to the wall. I hate when tv cables dangle every which way & prefer them neatly in tack in alignment to the wall down to the power outlet.
This was my first experience with this 4-in-1 staple gun (I've used other brands) and was quite impressed how it easily fit in my lady size hand. Squeezing the trigger was also with ease and did not feel any strain when squeezing the trigger. Absolutely no jamming with the staples, but then of course, I thoroughly read the setting instructions before use.
We recently purchased this home, and definitely have plans to do wall mounts for all our TV's. Having successfully completing this most recent install, I look forward to doing three more (tv wall mounts) and I didn't have to ask for my husband's help. Yep, with the right tools (DeWalt) for each task, all projects can be successfully completed.
