Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love this monster Over the years, I have collected a lot of wrecking bars, some over 100 years old & some bought new; and I have used every one of them on various projects. This is, by far, the best of the bunch. I needed a bar that would let me remove 1,000 sqft of ceramic floor tiles, tear off baseboards and pop carpet tack strips off a concrete slab. The weight, crook angles and length made the whole process a lot easier. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I had to sharpen the prying hooks to get under & behind things with minimal damage to drywall & concrete. But, with that done, it worked like a champ. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 42 in. Wrecking Bar, Dewalt Excellent bar, good weight, length really helps on breaking out when doing demo work, HD size is a plus, it will take a beating, excellent value and tool. May 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by drywall was like butter. I busted through drywall like it was butter and tore out studs like match sticks. It was actually fun to use it. Made my demo project easy. March 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as Expected This 42 inch wrecking bar was a great choice - I'm ripping out an old deck with the boards screwed down and needed more leverage to remove the boards. I could have cut the deck into pieces with a circ saw, but I'm trying to minimize the size of the dumpster I need to haul it away, and this lets me get flatter pieces in order to do so. No problems with bending as others have mentioned, and the extra 8" over the 36" bar is great not only for additional leverage, but it also keeps me from having to stoop. The extra weight vs. the short bar is also useful when knocking out the blocking between the joists. I don't have to run inside for a sledge hammer, just give it a hit with the backside of the bar and the blocks come loose. April 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good at breaking stuff This magic little (big) prybar worked wonders on ripping the old pocket-door track out without me having to rip through the wall. It is heavy enough to give you force and leverage and light enough to manage in tight spaces. Though I only used it for one project I forsee many uses in the future. Also good for killing scorpions at a distance. September 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely Useful Demolition Tool I bought this tool for demolition & renovation and it's been very useful. This bar is a little heavier than a traditional 36" crowbar, so you get tired quicker. But the weight and the extra length is a great advantage when doing heavy work. To pull down ceiling drywall- just push the crook through and let it drop back down, pulling the drywall with it. It's also been great for pulling out some wall framing, lifting plywood subfloor, and even busting up some old furniture to go into the roll-off. I can't imagine how the previous reviewer BENT this thing- maybe a batch didn't get properly heat-treated or something? I'm beating mine to death and it's holding up just fine. March 18, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I am very strong or it was very weak Very much like the colour due to working outdoors all the time. Use it to pull 16d out of rr ties and other things. One claw snapped right off when pulling a nail though, no bend just snap. Didn't feel so good. I tell girls it's brute strength. December 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Even Moses Would be Proud To have used this. I bought this pry bar for the simple reason I'm a tall man, was tired of using smaller pry bars that I had to bend down, to use adding uneasy stress to my lower back. heavy duty, Great leverage, it works, plus you can't beat the price. Still using it still going Strong. July 31, 2014
