CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 29 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by I cannot rate this item because it is a Christmas present for my husband. Because you sent this e-mail at this time he now knows what his present is. Perhaps after Christmas he will rate the radio charger. December 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Terrible Sound Bought this because all of my tools are Dewalt and love to listen to the radio while I work. I was truly disappointed by the poor sound. As someone put it, "sounds like the music is playing underwater", not clear at all. Very surprised Dewalt would put out a product like this as i've always found their power tools to be well built?? The charging capibility is great, the extra plugs is a good idea although i'm not sure i would ever use them. I wanted this for some time and even considered changing out the speakers myself but at the end of the day, the extra costs just didn't make sense since this radio is $150 as is. I will be taking it back and possibly getting the Milwaakee as the reviews were good on it. November 26, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good as charger, not for a boombox I was looking for a durable, portable radio and since I am fully invested in Dewalt 18V ni-cad, with plans to eventually go to Lithium-ion, I thought this would kill two birds with one stone. Took it home, it charged batteries fine, but the sound from the speakers is awful. The bass boost makes it even worse. If you are going to pay premium price for a product, you would think they would use premium parts, not so here. Overall, it has a cheap feel to it. The speakers are loud, on battery and plugged in, but a very muddled sound with no separation of highs and lows. Worse than my first boombox 20 years ago. Also, if you use an mp3 player (or phone as I do) for music, there's no compartment to protect it. I returned the Dewalt radio and bought the Milwaukee 2790-20 jobsite radio. It far exceeds the Dewalt in all aspects, except that it does not charge batteries. I did buy M12 impact kit for the batteries, so I spent more in the long run, but am extremely pleased (plus that impact is awesome). If you are looking for a good sounding, durable, highly portable radio, get the Milwaukee, you won't be dissapointed, like I was with this Dewalt. February 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Radio I've read a lot of reviews of people having sound quality issues. Does this radio stand up to my klipsch entertainment system, of course not...its a job site radio. This thing is built tough. I love the 3 outlets on the side which help me out a lot because my garage has limited plug access. The battery charger is outstanding and charges batteries really quickly. Last feature I really like is the auxiliary plug so I can hook up my phone and stream pandora when wanted. The only thing I would like to see is some sort of protective compartment to keep dust debris from getting at my phone when hooked up to the radio, but at the end of the day that is small potatoes. Excellent radio with lots of extras for the price that I use on nearly a daily basis. June 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great sound I really like the sound from this device and the ability to connect my MP3 , I thought the price was a little high but I guess you really do have to pay for quality, hoping my neighbor can now hear mine over hers ... June 19, 2014
