Yes, but be sure that you purchase the correct size wire wheel and DO NOT remove the guard. As always, safety equipment a must especially with a wire wheel, gloves and safety glasses....

Yes, provided the arbor hole is the correct size for a DeWalt tool. May need to remove the wheel guard as well, which is not recommended. Check this out before the purchase.

Answer:
Absolutely. You would need to use one specifically for angle grinders though. Here's an example: http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-3-in-x-5-8-in-Carbon-Knot-Wire-Cup-Brush-DW4910-Y/100049348

Yes but you need to purchase a sanding wheel for wood, do not use a metal rated wheel on wood. As to the job in question not sure this is the tool for the job as removing that much wood from a cabinet will require a lot of sanding. If just the edging is to be removed this could work but not enough information as to the material to be removed. Best bet is to contact a local contractor or a cabinet company Read More

Yes, but why would you want to use this on wood? This is a dangerous tool, and is not easy to handle at full throttle. The wheel cuts via friction, which could cause a fire. There are much better tools to use on wood than this. You can use a 4200PSI pressure to cut wood too, but why would you?

If you want to get in close, and cut along a floor, for instance, get an oscillating multi tool like the Fein tool. Best tool ever invented, in my opinion. Though the accessories are crazy expensive. Read Less

Answer:
That is NOT the tool to use for that job. The question is are you trying to trim the bottom off an upper or the side of one of the boxes. A better tool would be a job max multi tool using the flush cutting blade. I would recommend a guide so you can get the cut straight. You could use a couple of c-clamps to hold the guide in place.

Yes, as a general rule, any universal motor (AC motor that does not have a variable speed control and uses brushes), can be run off DC as well as AC at its specified voltage (in this case 110VAC/VDC)

No, this grinder definitely does not run on DC. It is a plug-in model, 110v. AC only. The only tools that use DC power are cordless battery powered tools.

Answer:
Be sure to check whether the paint is lead paint first. If it is, this probably is not the right tool for the job, although you could potentially use it with enough dust control. Read up on the precautions needed--it's more complex than I can explain here.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice grinder Great grinder, solid handle, body of the motor feels sturdy. The motor was a bit louder than I anticipated when not under load. However, I always have ear protection on when using it anyways so that isn't much of an issue. This is a replacement of a cheaper brand I received as a gift several years ago that finally gave out. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This baby cranks! Great RPM, good solid power. Easy to use and a durable chord. October 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Fine I was doing some spot grinding on my basement floor, getting it ready for an acid stain application. I did purchase a Cheaper brand, but it burned out with little use. I then upgraded to this one. It got a little hot at times, but held up to finish the project. This is not for heavy use and will probably burn out under those conditions. However, it's great for its original use and did fine for what I used it for. September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by angle grinder Pre assembled and ready for use. guard is easy to work with. Handle helps for holding and precision grinding. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spanner wrench revisited So I read the review about the spanner wrench not being included and the one where other posters explained how it is not needed. I admit, I though it was silly to complain about at first but upon some use of my grinder which I am very pleased with I do see the downfall for first time buyers. If you also use this as a sander most sanding back up pads and retaining nut DO NOT have the hex head hole and even if they did they are much thinner so as not to be in the way. Fortunately for me I have a wrench from a previous grinder but if someone does not have one and want to use a generic / aftermarket sanding disc setup they will want to purchase the wrench June 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice small angle grinder This is a nice hand held angle grinder true to DeWalts quality and reliabity. I've used mine to cut steel, concrete and wood. It works very well and is easy to use with one hand. I only wish the could make the blade easier to replace without the use of an Allen wrench, which is provided. A case to carry it in would be nice too. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by my first. Grinder I use DeWalt products I'm right out the box and perform excellent no complaints June 7, 2016
