Answer:
Hi Joe, yes this will cut asphalt. It will gum up the blade. This blade is made for cuting masonry which is harder than asphalt. This is not the recommended use of this blade. Make sure you wear plenty of protection, especially eye protection.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Diamond blade Manufacturers typically offer diamond blades at various quality and cost levels, ranging from basic economy to top-of-the-line premium or professional versions. Generally the key difference among these options is the diamond content, which is the greatest raw material cost in manufacturing the blade. Moving up from a standard to a premium blade may boost the cost 20% or more, but you'll get a higher concentration of diamonds and significantly longer blade life. October 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Did the job nicely I bought this blade to cut brick pavers for a patio job I was working on. The stone cutting saw at the Home depot tool rental was out for repair and they wanted $45 for 4 hours anyway, so I decided to purchase this blade for my table saw instead. It cut the pavers very well, though as probably expected, created a lot of brick dust. It was too small in diameter to go all the way through in one pass which made the job more difficult. On the package they say to only cut through 1/2" at a time, but when fully up in my table saw, it cut more like 7/8" with no difficulty and it didn't even get warm to the touch after a pass through these 12" long pavers. With some effort and mess, it did get the job done for a fraction of the cost of renting the brick saw at tool rental. June 10, 2014
