I replaced my DW705 saw with new DW718 saw, and got this free due to DeWalt special offer. I had used older saw on whatever surface I had, but with this stand, I don't have to try to rig supports for work being cut, nor try to find a makeshift work area. MUCH easier, and safer to use this, especially with new slide type saw. Supports with stops are adequate, and overall stand is solid to work on. Took very short time and little effort to set up first time, and very easy to take down, move and set-up once saw is attached. Only "bad" is that legs don't have adjustable feet to allow them to level the stand on non-flat surfaces encountered at work site.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jstspoiled Makes using your miter saw easier
When I finally bought my own miter saw I figured out this is so much easier to put your saw on. I borrowed my friends DW718 and he always told be to take the stand, I never did. When I finally bought my own DW718 miter saw I bought the stand, now I know what I was missing. Its at a great height, it very stable, very easy to set up. I just wish I would have used it before on the other jobs I need the saw for. When it is not in use folds up nice and compact you can hang it on a couple of hooks on the wall and store it nice and neat and out of the way.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Homer Need stronger mounting bracket release trigger
I like the over all design, able to take the miter saw off the stand for ease of transport. But the release trigger for the mounting bracket is made of cheap plastic, mine just broke on the first day. gonna need to exchange it and hope the next one holds up.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sam1flightrn Great saw stand
Excellent stand. Very sturdy and durable. The extendable arms lock in and allowed me to set up and cut 16 foot deck boards without measuring for each cut. What a time saver that was. Not having to kneel on ground or build a makeshift bench was a plus as well. Wish I had bought it for previous jobs. Time savings was worth way more than the cost of the stand.

This is a very good product however I had an odd problem with the assembly. The head of one of the bolts snapped right off like it was glued on. while using a small hand ratchet I've never had this happen, luckily the good people at home depot gave me a whole new set of fasteners. Everything else looks good.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MPDave Dewalt Miter Saw Stand
I have used almost every thing to hold a Miter saw and they all have faults. This is the one product that is light and holds the saw at the proper height. I like the folding design for easy storage and transportation. The stand will hold almost every saw miter saw made.

This stand is extremely sturdy and EASY to setup and use. Works great with my Dewalt DW 717.
Wish it came with a second set of adapters to mount a second tool. You have to buy those separately for about $30 or so. Very Sturdy!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tano I love this Stand!
This is one of the few tool purchases I have made that I can say I would 100% buy again and I have recommended it numerous times to others. This is a solid design, easy to use, store and carry. I ended up purchasing additional brackets to attach my DW718 slider, and I also have a set on my DW716. I finally attached a third set to a portable craftsman 10” tables aw for when I need to make cuts outdoors. A neighbor of mine has his ridgid 12 slider on this set up as well and is very happy. You can also purchase additional stops making multiple repetitive cuts a breeze. Not to mention the wings extend to 16’, so long molding isn’t an issue
Just as a comparison, I had purchased the Ridgid MSUV during the 2008 Black Friday sale for $99 because I thought the dewalt stand wouldn’t handle the DW718. The problem was that it was so much bulkier and a bit more difficult to open than the dewalt stand that I ended up giving it to my friend. Plus Ridgid does not sell additional mounting brackets, or maybe I just couldn’t locate them, which made the MSUV a one trick pony.
I know you won’t be disappointed with this purchase.
