Answer:
I have the button at the top of the knife, but it will not slide back and forth allowing me to close it. What is the trick to close it? I bought this because of this feature, but, it stinks that I can't get it to work properly.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 61 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Well I purchased this knife primarily for cutting up boxes. I tend to have a lot of boxes in my garage from package deliveries. We have a 90 gallon trash bin strictly for recycling pickup but you can't get much in it unless you cut up the cardboard. I stopped by HD after work and grabbed this based on the overall positive review rating, also I've come to know DeWalt as a pretty reliable brand. The blades are easy to put in and take out. I did not have any issue with slipping. I like how small the knife is when folded. It's easy and safe to carry around. The three blade storage is also a great extra. The only time I had an issue with this knife was when I was cutting a large number of boxes. This knife could be more ergonomic to help prevent hand fatigue. Short term use however was never an issue. February 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Utility Knife Made This is by far the best utility knife I've used. Compact, easy to use and ruggedly built. Like the blade angle. Easy on the hand. Good feel and fit. DeWalt has a real winner here. September 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great knife we used it to cut drywall too..worked as we thought it would.Good product and great design. September 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Much better than I expected. I am usually a Stanley 99 classic kind of guy. I picked this up when I was putting a roof on my house because of the quick blade change and it was retractable. It now lives in my pocket permenantly. I could not be happier with this tool. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Knife I take this knife to the limit as i go through 30-50 blades daily cleaning the grout lines on the marble floors. It is durable, has a comfortable handle, its compact and it can fit up to 4 extra blades in the handle. i own 3 of these knifes and donated all of my other knifes by other brands. December 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good tool Feels very natural in your hand, blades very easy to replace. very safe tool to store in your pocket. February 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk Loading the blade is a total kluge. You don't know how far to insert it, if doesn't grab well at all, very imprecise. Folds awkwardly. All in all, poorly designed and constructed. January 27, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Blade slips out continuously This knife is has a nice curved design to it which makes it easy to grasp, but the blade keeps slipping out of the holder during use. It's fine for light duty cutting (like string), but using it to cut through anything that requires a little bit of strength causes the blade to slip out. It is very frustrating. January 6, 2016
