Wanting to take the plunge and actually buy a pressure washer so I can stop renting, I ended up buying this unit from HD. The current job I am on only needed something simple to spray on soap and then wash off as I had already rented a 3,500 PSI unit from HD to do the initial prep. I bought a cheaper 3,000PSI model and later decided that if I was gonna buy a unit I should just spend the money and get something good enough to not have to rent again. Not too many options in my area I decided to look at Northern Tool. The northern units had good pumps but required at least $1,000 to get something with enough motor. I needed the unit 'today' so I ended up here knowing that there seems to be issues with the AAA pump. Looking online I found you can get a seemingly good CAT pump for about $270. I decided that if this pump dies I can 'send it in for repair' and just buy a CAT pump. Seemed cost effective since it would be about 250 more to get a Northern unit with a CAT pump and comparable motor. If the AAA pump lasts well then hey all the better.
First I have to say this is a solid unit. The frame is nice, the wheels are nice, the layout for the most part is nice, the hose is nice and the wand is nice (it also has the left hand T-Grip that rotates not shown in the pictures.). Is it top of the line equipment....no, but it will certainly most likely last as long as the rest of the unit and not cause headaches (not a cheap plastic hose). I usually rent the HD 3,500PSI 14HP unit from the tool center which has plenty of power and I can say this unit has noticeably more pressure. With the 15deg tip this unit will blast out the rocks from asphalt if you are close enough. It's a Commercial Honda motor so that pretty much is the best you can get. The motor on this unit is a GX270 which is about 8.5HP and 14.1 ft/lb of torque. Only issue I had is using the detergent tip....There isn't enough pressure on the line with the detergent tip that the compression fitting on the wand at the hose leaks.....kind of annoying when water is dripping everywhere. Only other issue I had was the unit obviously had tipped and the residual oil in the motor had ran through the PCV tube to the airbox and got all over the place and in the carb. I had to take the airbox and carb off and completely clean it out. When I started it up it smoked like crazy for 5 minutes but cleared up...probably should check the plug for fouling but otherwise runs like a champ. For what it's worth, these DeWalt units are the exact same unit at the SImpson's which usually get good reviews and have AAA pumps. The unit comes with engine oil and the pump oil is already installed (it's 15w-40 BTW). All you need is gas and water. The detergent input is at the high pressure side just before the line is attached to the pump and works great. There is no cap on the barb and it might be worth putting in a ball lock so you don't have to keep plugging and unplugging the hose as you soap/rinse.
Sorry if the review reads choppy.

Followed the instructions, about 30 minutes to get set up and it started right away. Be very careful to understand the proper positions for the choke the fuel valve and the throttle - if you have any one of them turned in the wrong direction you're going to have trouble. Can't say much about reliability because I just bought it. If I think of it I'll stop back and add to the review after I've used it for a few months.

After having a great cleaner (RIDGID) for three years and it broke down (chemical injector) and no one could fix it, I tried a Generac, which quit running after 20 minutes and would not start again, took it to a warranty station and they could not tell me why it quit, why it would not restart or if I would have the same problem again. Then I tried the smaller DEWALT, which the chemical injector did not work, I ended up with the DEWALT 3800 which has run great and performed better than all of the previous cleaners.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PitBullbuilder excellent pressure washer
I purchased this washer on Friday evening and assembled it Saturday morning, put oil and gas in as recommended, and it fired up on the 3rd pull. I spent 5 1/2 hours washing our pool deck and a few other items with breaks only to add gas 2 times. Ran it for the 5 1/2 hours on less than 3 gallons! It is a very powerful tool and will definitely get the job done!

After reading several reviews and lots of shopping around I decided this was the washer I'd give a shot after going through three of the cheaper generic style pressure washers that are obviously built for people that don't use them often for several hours at a time. Assembly was easy if you're even just a little mechanically enabled, which if you're buying this odds are you're a good enough DIYer to put it together. I've put about 100 hours on it and it still performs perfectly.(Note I change my motor and pump oil every ten hours because I have plenty of oil available as I'm a classic hot rod builder on my days off from being an oil refinery production operator.)
Pros: Price. Quality Honda motor. Strong high quality pump. Easy to move around. Easy to start. LOW OIL SHUTDOWN SWITCH. Fuel efficient. Plenty of power for anything I've needed. Large rubber tires.
Cons: Wand it comes with isn't very user friendly if using for several hours (I purchased one from Northern Tools that better fit my needs).
Fitting that connects water inlet hose is poly/plastic (I replaced with a brass fitting from a local industrial supply store).
Slightly heavy to load alone in a truck if needed, a breeze for you and a buddy. (The added weight of a good motor and frame are worth it, I promise)
All in all, definitely worth the money for the quality and dependability you get.
