One suggestion: Pull off the filter and slide a socket (from a socket set) onto the end of the tube and reinstall filter. This will weigh the tube down and make it sink to the bottom of your chemicals (use a 5 gallon bucket with pool chlorine and maybe a little laundry detergent for best results.) Read Less

No the injector is a fixed injector at 10 parts water and 1 part soap. When you buy a concestrate one gallon soap at Home Depot also get a 5 gallon bucket and follow the instructions from the soap manufacturer for the proper mixture. Remember not to let the soap dry on whatever you are cleaning but give the soap time to work.

Answer:
The engine oil takes standard motor oil 10W40. Check the Honda operator manual. When you change the pump oil you need the pump oil sold at the Home Depot. Be careful of the amount you put in not to overfill. Check the label on the top of the pump. It will tell you how much to put in. If you overfill you may blow out the oil seals in the pump over time.

Answer:
You can use any oil designed specifically for pressure washers as these contain a rust inhibitor and an anit-foaming agent. If this oil is not available, an SAE 30W non-detergent oil may be used.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fun toy It's fun to play with. It is a gas hog. Runs and works great. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dewalt Honda gx 390 pressure washer I HAVE PROFESSIONALLY USE THIS UNIT 4 YEARS AND STILL RUNNINGRUNNING. Great bit would highly recommend May 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good pressure washer The box it was shipped in was torn up, carriers fault not Home Depot. Going thru the start up checks. the pump did not have enough oil in it, just enough to barely cover the lower edge of the bearings. Luckily I had a brand new bottle of DeWalt pressure washer oil to top it up with. Unit starts easily and runs great. Plenty of pressure to clean most of the old cement that hardened on the inside and outside of a cement mixer. also took off a lot of grease that has been on some equipment for 20 years. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 4200 PSI ???? I use a inline high pressure washer gauge on all my washers to keep an eye on pending valve and seal failures. upon hooking my gauge to this washer DPX4240 - 4200psi@4gpm, I immediately noticed that i was not getting close to rated psi. Idle MAX pressure was normal at 4250psi, once the trigger was engaged working output pressure dropped down to and stayed at 3800psi. NOT EVEN TOUCHING 4000psi, there really is no quick fix for this because the idle MAX pressure is at max psi already and any adjustment on the unloader to increase working pressure would would exceed the MAX limit and damage the pump, I am going to check the flow rate BUT i am willing to bet it is not even near 4 gpm. So i am thinking i just paid over $1000.00 for a 3800 psi washer thats not worth 750.00 February 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent pressure washer with excellent power I have pressure washed for over 20 years now and my old Honda GX390 finally went out. The reason I chose this model was strictly because of the Honda GX390 engine. You cannot go wrong with the Honda GX390 engine and the pump is also great quality. The only change I would make or add on to this pressure washer would be to replace the straight open detergent connection with an adjustable detergent connection. I know this is petty but it allows you to control the volume of detergent to use when cleaning a house with heavy mold and mildew as opposed to a house with light mold or mildew. Changing this out would be around $10 - $15. This pressure washer is very powerful and I got done with jobs I've done in the past much quicker with this unit. The hose and gun are average quality but that is not why you buy this pressure washer in the first place. If this is your first pressure washer, get ready for a quick learning curve. I would suggest adjusting the pressure way down until you are comfortable with it because it has tons of power. I would recommend this pressure washer to anyone. Especially professionals. After you use it and store for a while, make sure you use a pump save kit to inject int the pump for long periods of storage with no use. This will help keep your seals and components inside the pump nice and lubricated. It's too nice of a pressure washer to skip this simple maintenance step. October 29, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best all around washer. great value! Have used this washer for well over 400hrs without a hick up. This machine has done all that i have asked. Just service it on time.Washed heavy equiptment for the TVA , concret, brick, driveways, vinyl siding and vehicles.Great machine for the weekend warior or a professional. March 7, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome, Awesome, Awesome !!!!! I own a painting company. After shopping around for 3 weeks for a new pressure washer I decided on the Dewalt. This is a serious machine. I love it and as a Professional I recommend it to anyone looking for a 4200. March 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Power Washer I've had several different sizes of power washers over the years and after several days of using this around the house I'm convinced for the money this unit can't be beat. My only regret is not purchasing it sooner!!! My back ground is in the mechanical field and I'm as picky as they come on product quality. I've never wrote a review on anything before but I felt this product deserved it and for anyone on the fence about spending the extra money this unit is worth every penny and then some IMO.... I'm 100% a value shopper not a price shopper and if your thinking of this machine my suggestion is to pull the trigger, "You Won't Regret It" it's well built, extremely powerful, adjustable and will save you more time than you can imagine. It's an A+ in my book!! July 26, 2015
