Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makes using your DeWalt mitre saw a breeze! Bought one a few years ago for my DW718 sliding compound mitre saw. Makes it almost mindless to make accurate cuts every time, whether I'm doing framing, decks, trimwork, or custom cabinetry. If you have a DeWalt mitre saw, this mod is for you! (Just check the list of compatible saws!) September 6, 2009
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Once set up it is very handy. and the line is clear and easy to read March 17, 2009
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not compatible with DW715 Type 3 This laser is not compatible with the current version of the DW715. I purchased these together in November 2012. After seeing no way to install, I found that there are three types of the DW715. The Type 3 is most likely what is being sold at HD now. An 'upgrade' from Type 2 to Type 3 was that it no longer has the capability to have a laser. Unfortunately, the only way to see what type you are buying is by opening the box and checking the miter saw label. January 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent The addition of this laser was great, cuts down set up times and makes cutting angles a breeze. Also installation and calibration was a cinch. February 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Laser easy to install, but a pain in the butt to align the laser to the saw blade I paid almost 80 bucks for this thing and it would serve me better as a paper weight. Don't bother buying this January 6, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didnt work with Dewalt Miter Saw 716 I am sure this is a great product, but couldnt use it on my Dewalt Miter Saw DW716. Before you purchase this laser or the LED work light, look at the top of the yellow handle on your miter saw. If you have a small rectangular access panel with two screws that attach it to the yellow handle (should be right next to the black handle you can lift the saw with), then the laser and the worklight is compatible with your miter saw. If you do not have an access panel like mine then you are out of luck for these products. August 20, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would not fit. Would not fit my DW715 saw even though the product info claims it is designed for it. Had to return it. January 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Should Have Bought This Years Ago! This is an adjustable laser guide that can be set to either side of your blade. While the instructions are okay and clear, I chose to set the laser up myself, having worked with lasers in industry. Attached is a picture of my DeWalt chop saw; guard retracted. Shop lights off. The laser beam is set just skimming the left surface of the bade lighting up all the teeth. Way cool. One can even check their blade runout with it! Picture doesn't capture it. Using it outside, the laser is hard to see in direct sunlight, but otherwise fine. Plan accordingly. Working after dusk can treat you to an amazing light show. Adjustments are straight forward once you get the hang of it; however, setting the cut line to the right side does max out the adjustments and might be a concern with fatter kerf blades. I treat all my power tools with the same respect as a firearm so I love the trigger lock. This is a well thought out precision (for woodworking) piece. I have used laser guides on other makes; this one is among the best. I kick myself for being "too cheap" all these years sticking to my speed square and pencil. Wish I had bought it years ago. Really speeds up one's accuracy and productivity, especially in nested cuts. December 11, 2014
