Customer Questions & Answers

What is the temp setting

Asked by: BLU
High, this is not a dual temp model and produces lots of very hot melted glue. Since this is exactly what I need I am fine with that.

I got this for my wife to do her crafts with and she used it once and now it will not heat up. I checked the cord and plug and everything seemed fine. I have several Dewalt tools that get a bunch of use and I love but this has been a total disappointment. I will be returning this.

We have DeWalt tools and figured this was going to be fantastic too. It is doing the same thing as some as these other reviews. Dribbles and it doesn't seem to get hotter than about 80 degrees.

I have always trusted the name DeWalt but thanks to this dud, I will no longer. Yes, it heats-up fast but it doesn't stay consistently hot so if I'm running a critical bead of glue, I cant count on a solid line. The biggest bummer about this gun is that right after plugging it in, when it first gets hot it dribbles out a blob of hot glue out the tip onto whatever surface I'm working on. Now I have to remember to put something under it to catch the dribbling glue blob or it will make a mess and potentially do damage. even with the cheapest hot glue guns Ive owned, none of them gave m this problem. I would not recommend this product. Major bummer disappointment!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed. : ( I've used it infrequently for the past several months with no problems, however, it was for small jobs. Today it produces no more than a dribble, leaving me "stuck" ofcourse while in the middle of a big job. Using my $3 mini, but have to stop work to run out to get a new one. First thing I did was to Google to see if anyone else had these issues. I was really suprised to see how many people had have this issue. I'm happy to see it has a lifetime guarantee but I'm pretty sure if I can even find it the disappearing ink would have done it's job by now.

This is my third Dewalt glue gun purchase I love how fast it gets hot,but this is also the third one that the triggers has stopped working. They say it has a life time warranty,so i kept the reciept in my wallet because of prior two guns. When third trigger broke also, took reciept from wallet and NO INK what so ever left on it.But even with out that problem I still can find no information on how to even begin the warranty processSo now gone through three glue guns and still no closer to figuring out Dewalts warranty and how to file a claim.

We sell industrial X-ray equipment and use this hot glue gun every single day to attach parts to fixturing since hot glue has a much lighter density than most of our parts. Sometimes it gets left on over night or even over the weekend sometimes. We have been using it for at least 2 years, or more, since I am not sure exactly when it was purchased. There may be problems with some of the units that have been sold recently but our experience here is that this is a very robust hot glue gun and I will be buying another. If I happen to get one of the defective ones, it has a lifetime warranty. Hope this helps someone.

Well designed with a stand that folds back out of the way. It has a check valve that stops glue flow when you set it down. It is a single temp using .45" (large) diameter glue sticks. The only improvement would be to mold in a horn at the bottom of the grip so you can wrap the cord around the gun when storing it.
