What screwdriver/drill would you recommend to go with this set?

I have purchased two sets. One for my college age daughter and one for myself. I'd like something small but useful for her and small to medium for myself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lots of commonly used bits and easy store pickup. The bit kit has multiples of common bits like the #2 Phillips, I swapped out the 5 square drive bits and superfluous #2's and replaced them with torx and hex bits I had from another kit. So now I can carry all the bits I will ever use in one handy box. The holders are a bit tight, but they won't ever come loose and rattle around. I like how the bit holder has the sliding sleeve to hold the screw in place until you are ready to drill. Saves me lots of time and effort. I believe Home Depot has, after my fifth online purchase/store pickup, the fastest transaction time of any brick and mortar I have purchased from. They have the item right behind the desk, and I am in an out in minutes. I have waited more than 30 minutes for some "Ship to Store" transactions!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok for the money I purchase this for the price and to have the extension bit to screw new kitchen cabinets in with the torx bits as I am switching from old phillips and flatheads. You will get many extra phillips and flathead bits along with just one size each of the star bits and square drive. However i already chewed up one phillips bit with not much use, problem? Made in China, the metal used for the bits is too soft. Just because it has the Dewalt name does not make it a great bit. But for the weekend warrior you should get a few years use from this nice selection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value, annoying bit holders The bits have been strong enough so far, and the magnetic chuck is worth half the price by itself. The case is nice enough, with a slide-lock and fairly strong construction. So, the bit holders have to be pretty bad to mar the product. They are. It requires far too much effort to extract bits, and inserting bits is an exercise in frustration. Cold weather only makes it worse as the plastic becomes even more inflexible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Price, but few unique pieces The price is great, but you get what you pay for. My set contained about 75% repetitive pieces. Among the screwdriver bits there are about 10 unique pieces. The rest are repeats. If you burn through bits frequently, sure, but I don't see why you need 4 N5 bits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Home Use! Had several of these sets over the years, but the Dewalt set here is just the right size for your basic do-it-yourselfer. Basic automotive no problem, as it has the hex bits needed for a lot of cars today. I put my sons playset together with this, great strength in the bits, as I was screwing 4x4's together. Highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value, horrible case Buy this and you'll spend half your time trying to reinsert the little bits back in the horribly designed plastic holders. Given that, for 10 bucks you got a lot of bits. Quality is okay, not much better then Workforce generic bits, which you can pick up for 5 bucks and have a more functional case, albeit without the fancy DeWatt logo.
