This saw was dull right out of the package. I have other pull saws and like the way they cut. They are razor sharp. I bought this because of the Dewalt name but will never buy another one. My other Dewalt tools are great. I guess they need to work on their saws.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by snapper Good cut power but not accurate
Smooth teeth cutting power but long handle makes for difficult control and inaccurate straight cuts - good for rough, versatile cutting but didn't like for fine work

On the saw that i bought it seems that one end is thicker than the other. When I start to make a cut close to the handle it gets almost impossible to pull it all the way through. I was dissapointed and would have returned it if I would have kept the receipt.

This is really a great tool to do some things that are otherwise difficult - flush cuts and getting into tight (thin) spaces. The blade is not only thin, but very flexible. Sufficiently sharp, it cuts very well. The handle is constructed so that you can alter the angle to the handle. Only complaint (and the reason for leaving off one star) is it would be awesome if this folded into the handle (like a pocket knife) or at the very least came with some type of sheath - it is so large I don't know how to store it safely with the blade exposed!

A tool first developed in Japanese carpentry, the pull saw can give you the most accurate, razor-sharp cuts you've ever experienced in woodworking. I own a number of Japanese pull saws, and have always appreciated the ease and accuracy achieved using a pull-stroke rather than a western style push-stroke. So when I saw that DeWalt, a top American tool maker, was now offering pull-stroke hand saws, I jumped at the chance to try one out.
I have to say, I was not disappointed. This 10" pull saw performs as well as any of the pull saws I've previously used, with a few "American" features not found on other models. For starters, the ergonomic handle allows for a more comfortable, secure grip than the bamboo-handled saws; the kerf produced is thin and sharp, and best of all, the DeWalt saw blade can be set and locked to cut in a variety of angled positions-- a really nice feature when doing flush cuts in tight spaces. It's a fine tool at a hard-to-beat price.
