How long of a continuous run can this go? I want to run 50' in several areas off of a 1/2" feed. Will this work or would i need to go to 1/2"?

Does this tubing require a pressure reducer?

Asked by: beeman
A pressure reducer determines the flow rate on this product. 15 PSI delivers .52 GPH per dripper. 25 PSI delivers .65 GPH per dripper. I do not know if NOT using a pressure reducer will void the 3 year limited warranty.

Can i cut this into 12 foot sections to use in 2x12 garden beds

Asked by: Jim
Yes, I have cut it into a variety of lengths. I tried to space the cutting point to be in between the emitters - the "swollen" points in the line.

1/4 in. x 100 ft. Dripline with 6 in. Emitter Spacing is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 66.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dripline review I bought this to add to the system I've been creating to water my raised beds. I got to test it yesterday and I believe it is going to be great. I created a web pattern that will divide the sections by square feet and with the emitters spaced at 6 inches will water each square evenly. This product is perfect. The only thing is because of the curl from being rolled up I found It helped to unroll it in the sun for a bit. This straightened it right out and the warmth helped putting in the cross and corner fitting, making it easier.

Three 4-foot Lengths will place 3 gallons of water in the box in just 15 minutes, comparable to 3/10ths of an inch of rain. Easy to cut with plant nippers, and fits standard 1/4" fittings from Home Depot.

I have a 40 foot by 80 foot garden that I've had difficulty watering in past years. I'd watered overhead and decided that it was damaging my plants. This year I bought a drip irrigation kit from The Home Depot, intending to use plain tubing and individual emitters in my garden but I bought two rolls of this product, too. After planting my vegetables I decided to try the tubing with built-in emitters and I'm completely satisfied with the results. I have seven 30 foot segments and one 50 foot segment of it attached at the end of each row to one 45 foot section of 1/2 inch header tubing and I'm getting good water distribution throughout my garden. I have the system attached to a wind-up irrigation timer. When the garden needs water I set the timer for 30 minutes and that amount of time provides sufficient water for the entire garden. This is a very good product and I've already bought two more rolls of it. The only disadvantage I can think of is that when emitters plug they aren't replaceable. The cost of this tubing is so low, though, that it's really not an issue. I don't have a garden to save money, anyway. I have one to get better tasting veggies, especially tomatoes. I definitely recommend this product.
