How long of a continuous run can this go? I want to run 50' in several areas off of a 1/2" feed. Will this work or would i need to go to 1/2"?

Does this tubing require a pressure reducer?

Asked by: beeman
A pressure reducer determines the flow rate on this product. 15 PSI delivers .52 GPH per dripper. 25 PSI delivers .65 GPH per dripper. I do not know if NOT using a pressure reducer will void the 3 year limited warranty.

1/4 in. x 100 ft. Dripline with 6 in. Emitter Spacing is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor dripper Water comes out of the dippers closest to the supply line in a stream but little comes out at the end of a 10 ft section. Hose is on level ground.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great customer service I was so happy to have this irrigation tubing with 6 inch spacing. You used to carry it, and I was disappointed when you switched to 12 inch and 9 inch spacing. However, ordering it was easy when a Home Depot employee helped me. It came in time for me to use on my new apsaragus bed and numerous flower pots. Thank you Home Depot for having exactly what I needed. I plan to order another 100 feet of this tubing in the near future. This is the perfect tubing for flower pots and gardens. I have it in my Antique Wagon garden box. It winds around and makes it easy to plant. Since the spacing is every 6 inches, I just plant each bean seed by an emitter and then one in the middle. It waters them perfectly every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does the job The summer watering season has not yet arrived here in Western Washington. I am using the drip line in my vegetable garden. So far, I have planted three rows and have three 14 foot lines laid out. When I am finished planting the garden, I will have about sixteen or seventeen lines. In testing the three lines, the emitter spacing is good for row-planted vegetables. I like the fact that the water goes in the ground and not all over the foliage. I look forward to a year without lugging hoses and sprinklers around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great ! I ran this drip tubing off 1/2" poly manifolds at the end of my beds. it works better than I ever imagined. I do have it inserted into the 1/2" poly both at the beginning and end of the beds, so that may help in the even flow I am experiencing. I have 4 rows in 6 different 4 x 10 foot beds and then extend it throughout the rest of our garden on only one timed circuit and we have even flow and delivery from the beginning to the end. I am really impressed, so also purchased the 9" and 12" models of this tubing. It works much better than using single emitters if you have a concentrated planting. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than soaker hose I used this product to replace an old run of soaker hose that I was tired of repairing. The drippers are evenly spaced and put out an equal/consistent flow of water. The only other things I purchased to do this are an inexpensive pressure reducer that screws onto the hose bib and a fitting that screws onto the pressure reducer that allows the 1/4" line to connect to it. Best of all, it was easier to run where I want than a soaker hose, and if it gets damaged it's easier to repair. I would definitely recommend using this over any soaker hose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value and good quality Hose has two clog resistant outlets every six inches. This tubing was cheaper and better than other brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raised bed and containers are loving it! I put this drip tubing in my raised bed vegetable garden. I also used it in half barrels. Tomatoes, peppers and squash really love the deep watering. Over the years I've used hundreds of individual drippers and I've used the hose that weeps. Nothing delivered water as well. In Northern California we get over 100 degrees often. With this tubing I water 4 hours every other day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from DIG1/4 in. x 100 ft. Dripline-6 in. Emitter Spacing I purchased two packages of the 100 foot dripline hose. I works very well. I don't know if the company recommends a maximum length of hose to be used. I use one package to create a full 100 foot loop and the other is something less than a 100 foot loop. Both loops share a single pressure regulator and watering timer. Since water enters the sections of dripline hose from both ends it helps prevent over watering near the timer and under watering away for it. In the past I've used soaker hoses in loops, because they ooze water over the entire length, not just 6 inch intervals. This worked out equally well. I insure one water emitter was near the root of every annual plant. When plants need greater amounts of water I wrap one or two loops of the hose around them.
