Reviews are mixed. Some say they have used this tubing in Texas and Arizona with no problems. Others say don't try it. Other Web sources say you shouldn't use it in temps above 90 degrees. I live outside Phoenix and installed this tubing in March for use on a slope under some large palo verde trees. I have the controller set for a sunrise start time for 10 minutes duration. No problems so far. However, temps this time of day sometimes only get down to 90 degrees in July and August. I will post an update when mid-summer gets here.

1) temperature generally isn't a problem
2) UV can be a long-term problem 5-10 years, but your system may silt up with minerals by then anyways
3) If it's under mulch or buried, you somewhat solve both problems.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by very difficult to use at moderate temperatures The videos of people installing sprinkler systems show them easily sliding other 1/4" tubing onto fittings. In 65 degree weather, I found it nearly impossible to slide this tubing onto fittings. I'm a big burly guy but I don't do this professionally and thus don't have calluses in the right places to make working with this product possible. I mangled my fingers trying. I found that once I heated up the tubing for a few seconds with a hair dryer, it went on super easy. I don't know if this heating damages the plastic, but it was the only way I could get the tubing onto the fittings. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent product better than the black for blending in with the wood bark ground cover. August 2, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brown Driper Tube The brown color looks better in my landscaping than the black type tubing and it holds up in the sun very well. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I wanted! It stays flexible, it's brown colored so it blends in, easier to push over fittings than the rain bird tubing I used before. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value Worked perfectly. We added this to our sprinkler system to water the hanging plants. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Highly impressed I have only used the black tubing in the past. The store associate recommended this and I have been very happy! It is much more flexible than the black and it comes on and off the sprinkler pieces so much easier! June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Less visible, softer than black tubing This tubing works better in my yard than the black stuff because it blends in, making it nearly invisible in most locations. I also found it easier to work with, specifically, it can be pushed onto fittings with less force than the black tubing I had on hand (at the same temperature). The black stuff was just as easy if it was heated (I dipped it in a thermos containing hot water for 5-10 seconds), but why bother? June 29, 2016
