Rated 2 out of 5Â by leelee doesn't work like you think it will.
we have strong water pressure (50+lbs) and the pressure reducer was not able to handle it. the pressure reducer says it will output 25lbs but because our pressure was so great, the reducer only worked a little. this meant we had too much pressure in the line and that meant all the drippers were popping off. a couple every day.
i eventually took all the drippers off and just turn on that part of the system for 10 minutes and pray that the plants are not getting too much water. I put everything together quickly because I didn't have time to put together a finished product. My bad!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by jimmcdaniels Made for connecting drip system to your garden hose 25psi, 3/4" Female HOSE Threaded x 3/4" Male HOSE Threaded:
I've determined that this plastic drip system water max pressure regulator is just like the gray "PD-8425" regulator (25psi) except this black "PD-8325" has coarser threads (fewer threads per inch) to match your spigot and garden hose.
So it's female threads onto your house spigot and your garden hose threads onto it's male end.
The female end has a rubber seal ring just like a garden hose.
These are fairly solid, not thin walled like some I've seen, and shorter/more compact than other regulators I've seen.
Don't over tighten, since the ring does the sealing, it's not necessary, and the plastic threads could strip.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Kest Good product
It was very simple installation, functions as indicated. Seems that when installed in vertical position reduces pressure more than in the horizontal position.

Works flawlessly and is a key essential. Would buy a second one when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DVRing Inexpensive regulator
Not sure why this regulator is not included in the DIG irrigation kits as it relatively inexpensive and probably necessary for most homeowners. Regardless, it is still an inexpensive component to complete an inexpensive irrigation kit. It couldn't be more simple to install and seems to function as it should. No leaking is a plus as well.
