Replaced my old valve w/ this new solar one from DIG. awesome no more electric to run and I can add to my line easily. I have other DIG irrigation valves in our yard can't say enough about them. These run even on cloudy days they require so little light to charge. Solar powered. Nice job DIG

Rated 2 out of 5Â by parttimehack Difficult to Program to the Preset mode
Installed this about a month ago, install was easy enough, but the instructions for programming it is not. I thought I would try the automatic settings, but couldn't sure if it was working. I went and did it the manual way of selecting days, hours, time of watering and I think I have it programmed right, did e-mail for help from manufacturer, digcorp, but got no answer, so more fumbling around. It does, however, work when I go for the manual operation, but this' defeating the purpose and I'm back to where I started. Instructions seemed clear, but not sure if this will really work.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Rusty Barely needs any light
I was very concerned that the lack of light because of the shorter days would affect the performance of this system but no problem. Our garden is pretty far away from the house so I dreaded having to drag an extension cord that far so I was glad that it was solar. And it even automatically adjusts for the season changes. It has more features then I really need but setting it is a snap because it has presets for my region. No more watering to much or to little that will ruin valuable crops. Going to get another one for the yard.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by PapawJeff Great for our drip Irrigation system.
Got this really late in the season but I just had to hook it up in the system before I drained it for the season. :)
With both of us working, free time is at a premium and this timer will be fantastic for us and our mist/drip irrigation system for my wife's flower beds.
It has programmable run times from 1 minute to 5 hours and 59 minutes in 1 minute increments and since it solar, no backup battery or AC power necessary making placement flexible and inexpensive to operate.
It can be ran in manual mode when desired also, and for the auto mode, programming is super easy.
Now to drain the system for winter but I know we will be ready to go with a great timer for the next irrigation season :)
