Customer Reviews

Digital Timer with Actuator is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed If it would work as described this product would be great. I have gone through 5 of these units and 4 had developed the same problem. They work fine for about two weeks, then for some reason, they only allow the water to dribble out of the sprinklers. The only way to stop this is to loosen the pressure release screw. Problem starts again after two weeks. I've called the company4 times and each they claim that they've "never heard of this problem before"... As it would have met my needs perfectly, I am very disappointed with my experience with this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Questionable Longevity Although the electronics seem to be designed for the job, I've experience some quality issues with the higher end range of Digg products. Mine seemed to have a persistent leak and no amount of thread seal tape and connection types would resolve it. My water pressure is set at 90 psi which is well within the design limits of the hardware. After inspecting the faulty end of the connection it turns out that there is no o-ring to seal in where the 3/4" inlet (female) is supposed to connect to its male counterpart. This is bizarre as every hose with female end has this o-ring (try taking it out and see what happens). I tried putting in my own but there's no lip to hold it in place, so the o-ring will just fall into the control valve cavity. $50 down the drain along with the water is leaked. I also noticed that the plastic threads lose their "shape" through multiple connect/disconnect events as I had experienced when trying to troubleshoot my issues. They eventually warped to a point where I could no longer screw the pipe in. Extremely disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaked after 2 Weeks The unit was set up, monitored for a few days, but leaked water past the valve after a couple weeks. My grove was over watered for 8 hours before the problem was discovered. Further, whatever failure in the ability to seal was seemingly lasting, as I could not restore proper operation ... not through adjustment, battery replacement, or rechecking of source water pressure. To be returned ASAP, being disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DIG Battery powered digital timer This timer was easy to install, requires only 2 AA batteries to operate and, so far, appears to be reliable. I had problems with the new Solar powered versions of the timer, including solenoid failures and Solar charging failures, but the battery powered versions appear to be free of these problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I have owned 4 of the valves for the past 6 years. I was looking for a solution that I didn't have to run AC power underground. I change the battery (9V) every 18 months and these things have worked perfectly for all these years. You will be extremly happy with these timmers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not new and improved. More like one step back. DIG 2006 Discontinued, This replacement model does not work on Lawn Genie like the old one did. If I have to replace the valve I will not use a DIG product
