Customer Questions & Answers

Is the amount of water coming from each nozzle the same or can it be adjusted?

I plan to use this product for my flower beds, however my plants vary in size from small flowers to larger shrubs. Is there any way to adjust the water output for plant size?
Asked by: Sickofwatering
Each nozzle puts out a different amount, some put half gallon per hour, others 2 gallons and some you can adjust. try to find out the type you have, you can always buy adjustable ones.

Does this attach to a hose?

I have to run a hose to the garden from the spout.
Asked by: crombie
it comes with an attachment to be attached to your hose faucet, you would need a hose extender female female to attach to your house.

To water garden, have to extend hose in kit across lawn which is mowed. Is that a problem?

Thinking of purchasing, but afraid if it goes on grass then I may have to constantly move it when I mow.
Asked by: Barb
It would be a problem because it would probably get torn.

Can I use this for hanging baskets? Is there enough pressure? How high can you run the micro tubing above the faucet?

Asked by: Machu75
It depends on how much water pressure you have, my water pressure is pretty good, nothing stronger than the ordinary, it can go very high, you should use the smaller tub for pots. connect them to the bigger one that should be on the ground. I have it like that in my house.

I would definitely recommend it, it completely met my expectations, big tip is to let the black tub in the sun a little so it gets soft and 100x easier to move around. It takes 10 mins the most to completely learn everything, I also went to the closest depot store to buy some extra dripping bids, I want some that would drip 0.5 gph instead of 1gph. It's very easy to find additional parts, you can always modify your structure, extend it, reduce it, I have mine watering orange trees, tomatoes, lemons, grapes, bushes, bamboos. Etc. AND you make it harder for weed to grow around since the water only goes to your plant.

I wasn't sure where to start with this project, so the Kit was just the thing. I've used everything in it and learned as I dug. Quality materials, had everything I needed to get started and by the time I visited the local hardware store, I knew what I needed to continue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice with one fault This is a very nice kit for the price. Everything you need to setup a drip system. Big plus is the 200' of 1/2' tube. Most kits don't have that much. The only fault is the micro sprayers. They don't work as well as the Mr. Landscaper ones. That said I would buy this kit all day long. A great way to get started.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up, great value I have never set up this type of system before and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. It came with plenty of tubing, enough to cover my patio containers and more than enough to Branch off and cover my front porch containers as well. Plenty of water pressure to run a line up to my elevated hanging baskets. Great value for the price and plenty of different drip and micro sprinkler attachments to choose from included. Also, Home Depot sells this system and all of its accessories individually so it is very inexpensive if you just want to add on a couple of one attachment or another. I am using this in conjunction with the DIG watering timer for a very low maintenance container garden this year

Three years ago I planted 50+ trees and used the kit to water them. All of them live and grow happily now. I'm adding more trees this year. This is the most efficient tool for growing plants as the plants get all the water (no waste). The Home Depot has the best price for the kit. The best way to use the kit is with a timer so that you don't have to turn the water on and off manually. Highly recommended!

This kit is my second purchase of DIG products, as I started with the Raised Bed kit which had the larger pieces, and then realized I would have to buy another kit to finish my backyard garden project. I have not had any major problems with the planning and laying out of my irrigation system. The best advice I can offer is to plan and purchase everything at once, as it is a hassle waiting on the products to arrive to finalize your project. Also make sure everything is tight by giving an extra tug or wiggle to make sure nothing will leak or blow apart. One of my micro- drippers, lost the cap and it looked like "Old Faithful" shooting to the sky in my newly planted vegetable garden. I will take the advice of others and make sure I drain the system this winter as I live in a region that freezes, and I don't want to ruin my hard work.
