It states that the soaker tape is 100' in length. Can you easily cut this for shorter distances? I want to run it up my walkway along the garage and plant some pretty looking plants, and this looks like it would do the trick.

Also, can this soaker tape be placed under a layer of dirt and it still work?

Thanks in advance for any assistance
~Jim.

As for covering with soil, the only issue could see would be the line becoming clogged, If you want to bury the line I would suggest either covering it with large particle bark mulch, but not fine, or the 1/4" line with the drippers added to the ends, but this is more work and expense but you can direct each dripper to each plant, or between several plants in close proximity, which is how I used them in our first garden bed. One supply line down the center of a 4'x12' bed, with 1/4" t-bar connectors, placed between plantings with a dripper head at each end, it was very successful, but we enlarged our garden by a great deal, and this is faster and cheaper way to the water to the vegetable planting beds.
