Very easy to assemble, only took 5 minutes. My wife loves it. Doesn't fit flush with the corner of the shower, but it does the job just fine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hawk8485 A very good product
A well designed, well built and attractive product. Well worth the money to buy it if you need a bath/shower seat as I do. It took about two minutes to assemble and it is very sturdy, as well. It sure beats the plastic institutional looking bath seats one usually finds. One needs to remember that the seat is made of bamboo which is not a wood, but a grass, densely layered with a binder. If you are not prepared, you will be very surprised at how hard it can be--more like sitting on granite than any wood chair or seat you have ever used. Still, it is comfortable when one sits on it squarely. It looks attractive and it wears very well. A shower is a tough environment, but after 4 months, I see no sign of any wear. I expect to get quite a few years of use out of this little stool, so I heartily recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a seat for their bath/shower.

I finally receive this product and started putting it together to find that it is very poorly designed. The included screws are too long to tighten without pulling the threaded inserts out of the wood. Yes I could alter them but really should I have to, this is supposed to be done in product development. The wood is very nice and the styling is good, it is supposed to support a persons weight but the construction leaves me concerned. I am going to return mine and go another direction. I have done construction and appliance repair for years so I am not just someone that doesn't know how to put it together. I hope this helps if you don't want to have to modify it to work save your money.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rufus May need padding
The only drawback was the flesh of my buttocks getting squeezed by the grooves. Very uncomfortable. I bought a dish drying pad from a major big box retailer for $10. Problem solved. Hang the pad up to dry when not in use.
This is a sturdy, high-quality seat. Don't think you should have a disability or infirmity to use a shower seat. I'm in good health. I simply enjoy taking a load off while I shower! Nothing wrong with it!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by anhic Bamboo bath seat
This is the 2nd bamboo bath seat I have had, and I am a big fan! It was easy to put together, and the design had changed a little from my previous one but I am hoping this design (fewer joints to separate over time) will last as long as my previous one did ( a couple of years of almost daily use). The only thing that concerned me is that I could not get the screws tight as I wanted and it looked like one of the screw holes was coming out the more I tried to tighten. It has not been a big issue so far. The only thing I would change about it is not make the edges so sharp on the seat slats. But a washcloth to sit on solves that! It feels sturdy, safe and makes showering easier. Way better than a plastic "medical" stool and it looks good in the shower.

This stool was very simple to put together--no tools. It is very sturdy with four legs and large rubber cups under each leg. It is beautiful and fit into our new shower perfectly. Also very comfortable to sit on. We love it!
